The issue is finally fixed. The solution was the upgraded bearing design. Installed it in my reel, put dg-18 grease on it and its silent now. Thanks for helping, I wouldnt have been able to fix it by myself.
I also own a stradic fl that is perfectly fine and i saw that the line roller is almost the same, but without the washer. I tried switching them and put the line roller from the stradic in my vanford, and its making the noise again. It can't be corrosion in the bail arm, i made sure to clean it well.
Both of them are clean but its still making noise. I did replace the old one with a new original line roller as i said. I noticed that there is some play inside with both line rollers, the old one and the new one as there is some movement. Could it be that some parts might be scraping against the bail arm? Because only after tightening everything back together its making noise.
Ill try the solution bulldog gave, i ordered the upgrade design.
I own a shimano vanford 1000 for about 2 years now. I haven't had any issues so far until recently, my line roller started making noise. I bought a new line roller set and replaced the old one, but its still making a scratching noise. I tested the new line roller itself by putting it on a screwdriver and it runs perfectly. Only after tightening it its making the noise again. Im using the original dg-18 grease from shimano. I have no idea how to fix it or what is causing the problem.
