  3. Redhed are you sure you were using the Elite? sounds more like Siege to me. the elite I have used is extremely soft and rarely had memory issues. the Seige whihc is a littele stiffer doesn't have any memeory issues either both great line.
  4. I saw this line in Dick's yesterday and was wondering if anyone had tried it? or knows anything about it.
  5. Simmons sporting goods in AL sells them you can find them on line as well. http://www.simmonssportinggoods.net/servlet/StoreFront
  6. Use what you need to to get it off. Wash and wax the whole boat (not the pad) buy some Bassboatsaver. Apply the BBS over the wax on the whole boat. the stain will show after being in the durty water but after spraying the BBS and wiping off it will be gone and andything else as well. Bugs, roadtar ect will not stick as long as you clean the boat with the BBS after every trip. I buy it by the gallon and they give you a spray bottle to use.
  7. I am just waiting on you to get a Watermelon with a chartruse skirt like Kinami has. I tried to dye a watermelon Ika and that doesn't work. It actually fell apart!
  8. Dang and I just bought some of the old style. One thing though had 6 out of the 10 jigs I bought with loose or actually unglued weed guards that fell out. I just super glued them back in no problem but you might want to tell you manufacturing guys to put a little more glue in them for the wee guards.
  9. Just remember it is always easier to ask forgivness than premision. :)
  10. I have some clear water rocky banked watersheds that I think these might work well in. d**n baitmonkey ;D ;D
  11. Do you do anything special to keep them from tearing up? How long will they last.

  14. On my honeymoon 2 days at Disney 3 day at the BIG O ;D ;D Wife caught the biggest fish :
  15. I would love to fish but no boat so if someone needs a partner I woudl love to go. Send me a PM or email.
  16. ChecK out the centauri knot been tying it for about 15 years with no problems. I do it a little different than the pic you will find and it is the easiest strongest knot I have tried. Run the line through the eyelet of the lure about 12-16" holding the lure in your hand place your thumb and forefinger just in fron tof the eylet. With both the tag and main line inbetween them. Wrap the line around your fingers 3 times and then back through the opening between your fingers pull your fingers out wet and cinch. I put this on a knot machine at the classic one year and the guy there from trilene i think was amazed at the strength of it.
  17. Anyone ever use the centauri knot? I have used it for years and have never had a problem with it much easier to tie than anything else i have seen.
  18. I have never seen one this deep!
  19. Well going to pass on this boat It is a Quickfire 18dc and the front deck is at least 6" or more sunck below the top, I tneeds a new floor also. Was this a fish and ski hull they just set up for a bass boat?
  20. found out today that this is actually a 91 Astro 18dc with an 89 motor.
  21. they guy who has it is extremly particular and he says it is solid what is the best way to check that?
  22. I have always wanted a bass boat but really just can't make myself spend the outragous fortune the new ones cost. I have a friend from work who has a 1989 astroglass for $3000. It is a 18ftr with a mariner 150 mag on it. He bought it 2 years ago and put about $1500 in new trolling moter fish finders batteries and some motor work(new power paks and stater) has anyone had experience with this boat or motor? Really do not care about high speeds as I will be taking my wife and daughters ( the eight year old is a fishing machine but thats another story) just want a good solid boat to fish some on the coosa chain of lakes here in AL.
  23. I have fished with a guy here in town who is unreal skipping a jig under docks with a baitcaster. I have seen him skip 10-15ft under a dock with just a few inches of opening. It is crazy I have never been able to do it well at all. Sometimes I will actually forget to fish and just stand on the back deck in awe at his ability to put a jig in places that look impossible to do with a spinning reel much less a baitcaster. Of course he is good enough to have won some big tourneys and actually won a Ranger boat a couple of years ago.
