Love to bass fish, been fishing for most of my life. I was in a small bass club, fished those tournaments and fished a lot an open tournaments. Had a great time, sold the bass boat and just purchased a tracker pro 170. Getting up in years and just can’t do the tournaments anymore, but go wet every chance I get!! Don’t care how big the bass are, just love the challenge of trying to find them! 😁

  1. Well, I had a recessed pedal tray installed and tried it out while sitting down. I can use it but it’s difficult with the seat being so close to the bow, even with the offset pedestal I had to use both feet to steer at times as it put a lot of stress on my knee if it didn’t. Tracker needs to rethink the design on the pro 170 and move the storage box behind the pedestal mount, to the starboard side and move the mount back where the storage box is. Love the boat, this is the only complaint I have. I now have purchased a stand up set up, I’m with hope this works better, I don’t mind standing for a while.
  2. Went to patoka lake last week and caught 1 dink on Wednesday. Fished Thursday and skunked out. I haven’t fished the lake for about 5 -6 years, always did well there. None of my old spots were holding fish. I tried all depths and “many” different types of lures with no success. I’m not sure, but maybe, all the bass drowned! lol, 😂 🤣
  3. Thanks guys! I already have the offset pedestal and it’s great! I’ve been watching YouTubes on how to install a tray, seems easy enough, but no one mentioned using sitting down. I contacted the dealer where I purchased my tracker Pro 170, they a tray they use in them as you can’t go too wide because of the braces. They will supply the tray and install for $350. Seems high, from what I gathered from the videos, it takes around a hour or less if you have everything you need ready. I don’t need a fancy tray and I’ve found several trays, aluminum, for under $100 that seem like they would work. Im a DIY person, but cutting a new boat deck just makes me little nervous especially since I can’t tell where the support braces are located. Thanks again for the info, I reckon I’ll go for it!
  4. Do any of you sit and have a foot control recessed tray? If so, is it comfortable/easy to operate setting down?
