  1. For those who fish the Upper Susquehanna and other similar river systems, what lures/techniques have you had the most success in when the snow starts to melt and water temperature starts to warm. I will preface by saying that I am a bank angler, and even though I have five rods, I will realistically only be able to use 2-3
  2. Spinnerbaits as well as Underspins? As it gets colder i’m guessing baitfish/minnow imitators are the safest bet. Better through the football now if I want to get on a craw bite lol
  3. For those who fish the upper Susky especially from the bank, what are your favorite baits/techniques for this time of year (tail end of summer), and into the fall?
  4. Leave it Beaver to give me lure recommendations
  5. Whenever you fish a lure that requires a straight fall down, when do you tend to close the bail/ activate reel? On a slow falling weightless rig do you keep the bail open until it hits bottom, and if so can you detect bites on the fall?
  6. Baby DB is fire, but I’ve had problems with the full size. Kinking has been an issue with the full size specifically, even when stored in a manner that would protect that. Not many anglers better to follow in the footsteps of.
  7. This post is a result of my indecision that lead to stressful overthinking. When I ask the following question, consider these factors: I fish one of the shallow finger lakes with lots of vegetation mainly eurasian milfoil, the best places to flip are in the milfoil and under boat docks, the water is ultra clear in the morning and throughout the day progressively gets greener (a light stain caused by gloeotrichia rising from bottom), flipping baits that I’ve used and had moderate success with: D-Bomb, Baby D-Bomb, Pit Boss, Bronco Bug, Sweet Beaver. I like one that has little to no action and glides like a traditional beaver, as well as one that has some more action to it but has less action than a craw style bait. The question: not including craws and tubes; if you could only choose 2 different beaver style baits each in 3 different colors to cover all the conditions listed above, what would you choose? And why?
