  1. its an old maxuum. One end of the wire attaches under the foot pedal but the end shown in the pic was attached to nothing
  2. this bundle is really light gauge and the two TM wires are definitely heavier gauge.
  3. I have a 99 sylvan pro select that has a small covering on the bow, which is where i need to mount the trolling motor. Immediately underneath that bow covering is a 3" or 4" wide metal brace that runs in the bow to stern direction. So it is impossible to drill through that cover without hitting the brace in a couple spots. Is it advisable to just drill through it? I cant think of another option. The pic shows a quick mount but I am not going to use it.
  4. I am trying to install a used TM. I installed a new plug on the TM wires and noticed this bundle of wires that ran along the wires for a short distance and then were cut off (so not attached to anything). Do these power a sonar unit? I am hoping they are not necessary for running or controlling the motor
  5. I assume that I would need the 5x3 to charge two TM batteries and one house battery, no?
  6. what is the purpose of being able to disconnect batteries from each other?
  7. sorry, I meant 24v...
  8. I am trying to install a trolling motor on my first boat (1999 Sylvan ProSelect). First issue is that plug and receptacle are not compatible, so I assume that I change the receptacle? The other issue is that there is a switch that activates battery one or two for the TM. I have a 36v trolling motor, so I will need to wire to two batteries. Not sure if I need to disable the switch or can just run both batteries on battery one?? Appreciate any advice.
