  1. When do you throw 1/4
  2. When do you throw a tiny jig? Say a bitys bug?
  3. Do you think that rod would be good for a senko/ Neko rigs? Looking at having someone build me one? What guides did you use? Have you used an NRX+?
  4. What is the most sensitive blank for a build regardless of price?
  5. I mainly care about how the line holds the color
  6. What’s your favorite Hi Ziv Braided line? I have used Seagar smackdown and liked it just wondering y’all’s opinions.
  7. Yeah, I always joke with people I don't know if my high-end rods catch me more fish but It does make me enjoy fishing more.
  8. My only push back would be... How do you know you're not missing bites that you would have felt with a more sensitive rod. I agree it is diminishing returns. However I do think on applications like a weightless wacky rig I would have had no idea I had a bite. With the NRX+ I feel bites on slack line while wacky fishing.
  9. Why would they recommend a 7 then...idiots
  10. Every time I catch a fish I lose my worm along with my nail weight. This is starting to get expensive. My setup is a VMC Crossover Rings size 7mm with a 5-inch Berkley Max General or a 5-inch Senko. What am I doing wrong? Are the rings too large?
  11. I am not quite ready to pull the trigger just yet. Just researching.
  12. The reel is 2 oz lighter than the other one so that makes sense. I am still shocked at what a big difference that makes.
  13. Does rod weight or the material it's built out of matter when it comes to rod sensitivity? I have had to use a cheap spinning reel on my NRX+ and then I put an Abu Garcia Zenon spinning reel on the rod and I swear it jumped the rods sensitivity. Am I losing my mind or does this affect the rod?
  14. I can pick up a new NRX+ for 550 what would your roughly cost?
  15. Yeah, it's hard to describe but the way I try to explain it to people is it just makes fishing more enjoyable. I thought I loved fishing before but it just takes it to another level.
  16. Hi all, I want to learn how to build my own rods, but I am more of a hands-on person. I don't think I can just watch a video and do it. Any builders around DFW that would be willing to teach me?
  17. I was wondering if you rod builders think you can build a rod as well as an NRX+? How much does it cost if you can? Do you build them yourself or have a builder you like?
  18. Well, the search has ended. After years of searching for a rod better than an NRX+, I finally gave up. The NRX+ is just the best rod on the market. I am writing to all those like me who might want something different, or think they can save money and find the equivalent for cheaper. I preface this by stating I have not tried every rod on the market nor am I an expert, but I have fished a lot of nice rods and none of them have the total package the NRX+ offers. These are the high-end rods I have fished in the last 2 years are as follows. Kistler Zbone, Dobyns Xtasy, Shimano Poison Adrena, Shimano Expride, Megabass Destroyer, Diawa Steez, G loomis Conquest, Power Tackle now Reneau Tackle. All these are phenomenal rods, and from what I have seen are great companies with great products but IMO the G Loomis NRX+ is just something special. Look is the NRX+ worth the money? I don't know...? 600 dollars for a rod I admit seems kind of ridiculous. Especially since I am just going to throw the fish right back in the water anyway. Can I catch as many fish on a 100 rod...? probably but if you are a gear enthusiast like me I truly believe it can't be beat. From the tapers to the truly electric sensitivity to the awesome warranty, I don't think you can find a better rod on the planet. If you want the best and have the money blow go get yourself and NRX+
  19. Just wondering how the compare to NRX+
  20. I was just wondering if anyone had tried the new Loomis GLX rods?
  21. I fish mostly large ponds and small lakes. My new main lake is Cypress Springs in TX
  22. I should have said I dont care that much about price as long as its under 100 dollars and its durable and gets bit
  23. Hey guys, I want to get into the swimbait game but I am intimidated by all the options. I am looking for something I can throw on a heavy rod. From looking online, I like the hard baits swim baits due to their durability, but I don't know where to begin. All help is appreciated
  24. Yeah I decided I wanted to try Destroyer. I ordered a Windbuster. If I don't like this I will go to NRX+ Yeah I figured I need to give a fair comparison and it was only 75 dollars more for the Destroyer.
  25. Only carry 2 and you will be surprised. If you are not catching on a wack rig, chatter bait, or a frog the fish are probably not biting. Also, I am not saying to bring more gear in your vehicle I am saying to only carry a little bit of gear when your walking the bank.
