  1. I would go with the Stradic, as long as weight isn't an issue, my tatula mq had a rough spot on the gear so I sold it
  2. I personally think both rods are way to stiff to cast a ned rig properly, work the bait, and also detect bites. I would definitely recommend dropping to a rod that has a minimum lure rating of at least 1/8 oz, if not even lower. My personal rod of choice is the Shimano Poison Adrena 6'10" UL/M, which is rated 1/16-1/2 oz. The M you have will be perfect for wacky.
  3. It depends on if it's for a moving bait or heavy cover fishing or bottom contact bait/finesse. For moving baits or heavy cover, you are going to put more stress on the reel because you will be reeling a lot more, so it makes more sense to invest in a better reel, a sensitive rod is also not really needed as you will mostly feel the bites when hooked due to the taut line. Bottom contact/finesse lends itself to more slack line presentations so you'll want the more sensitive rod to feel the bites.
  4. Thanks Scott I have a giftcard for a shop that I'm planning on using, they don't have any MC, just megabass, loomis, shimano, and daiwa. Are you aware of any other similar rods in those brands?
  5. I'm looking to get one of the 2 above rods and need help making a decision. I need the rod to be extremely versatile. I plan on heavy flipping 1-2.5 oz, frogs, as well as hard and soft swimbaits. Most of the swimbaits I plan on using will be under 2.5 oz.
  6. Curado 150 mgl or tatula sv 103. As mentioned by others, shimanos cast further but daiwas are easier to control. Skipping, tight cover flipping, , or high wind resistance baits like a spinnerbait I would chose the sv. Everything else I'd choose the mgl. In terms of durability, curado feels a bit better after 2 years of use and the fit and finish is better, my tatula has plenty of visible surface scratches. I sold my tatula 150 after a couple months because the reel is incredibly wide and does not balance well on the daiwa rods with the air sensor reel seat.
  7. Ended up going with the 893 because I preferred the split grip and I liked how it felt lighter than the 903. I think its going to be amazing at ripping chatterbaits out of grass and swim jigs. It feels like it has that megabass P5 double action with that light extra fast tip and the deep loading on the hookset.
  8. I already own the 873 and am looking to add a 2nd nrx+ casting rod to my arsenal. I'm looking to use this rod to be versatile enough to throw light (under 1/2 oz) jigs and texas rigs, swim jigs, and maybe the odd time will be used for spinnerbaits or chatterbaits. Any recommendations?
