Crazy. Took the kid out fishing for his first time (11) in Pompano Beach on a canal. We had shiners. kid landed a 5.5 snakehead midday on a spinner. My theory is the snakehead had eaten the shiner was just sitting because he didn't know he had a fish till he was reeling in the line to check the bait. Haven't caught one since and its been 2 months, elusive catch. Kid's hooked now (so am I).
