  1. I’ve also been hearing a lot of fuss about the rod being too stiff therefore affecting overall comfort and casting distance? I just want to make sure I get myself the right rod, this will be my first expride and just want something lightweight, sensitive, that can throw some smaller baits as well. If you guys have any other suggestions that would also be greatly appreciated. What’s everyone’s opinion on the zodias?
  2. Yes I only really use the 1/4 oz ones in my lake. I couldn’t find the 7’2 M expride on tacklewarehouse
  3. Hey everyone just wanted some opinions. I’m looking to get an expride 7’2 medium light and put my Curado 150 mgl on it. I’m curious to how the Curado 150 mgl will perform with 8-10 pound fluorocarbon on it and if the reel will pair well with that rod. Mostly using it for smallmouth fishing. Finesse swim jigs, Shakey heads, chatterbait mini max are what I was hoping to use this for. Thanks
  4. Went to the store with my wife so she could get a couple outfits…. Left with 4 packs of swimbaits, Big bite baits craws, big bite baits worms, big bite baits stick bait, some 12 pound Seaguar invisx, some jig heads and more. Spent $80 and literally went shopping for my wife. ? best part is, she didn’t even get an outfit ???
  5. Our state record is like 8 pounds so I mean, catching a 4 pound largie is something to be super happy about, we have good smallmouth though. ?
  6. Well I mean I was exaggerating a bit, the point I was trying to make was that very few baits manage to pull in fish and even the ones that do, don’t seem to be very consistent. I’ve tried many techniques as well. So I’m located in North Dakota. The lake I’m taking about is Patterson Lake. There’s tons of carp. I know about the fish reacting to noisy baits negatively based on what I’ve heard from local fishermen and from some friends that have seen it on livescope. I’ve tried throwing noisy baits myself and have never caught a single fish on them. Alot of people just go an hour and a half from where I live to fish rather then just go to the lake that’s here in town because of how difficult it can be to get a fish to bite.
  7. Tried that. Shaky heads, ribbon tails, only worms I have luck with around here are Ned worms
  8. Hey everyone, looking for some input here. Outside of fishing a mini jig and a couple other things I’ve been struggling at this particular lake near me. Super super muddy water, like 3 inch MAYBE of visibility… highly pressured fish as well. Chatterbaits don’t work here it just spooks em, but they have a hard time finding alot of my finesse baits because of how muddy the water is. It’s proven to be really challenging lol. Mini jig does great problem is, you gotta land it right over there head and I’m a bank fisherman so it’s one in a thousand casts lol. I’m looking for some advice on maybe some different things to try.. super noisy stuff spooks them, they’ll only hit natural colors as well. After work I’m going to throw a silent deep crankbait and a silent squarebill. Any help would be appreciated! Also we are super windy everyday here if that helps.
  9. All depending how deep you’re fishing, for me im fishing a lot of water in the 6-12 foot range so I have been using 3/16 oz and 1/4 oz! Occasionally I use the 1/8th but 3/16th has been my go to size ?
  10. That’s awesome, I’ve had a lot of luck with small jigs but this specific trailer has been the difference for me. It’s really separated itself from the rest in my opinion!
  11. I’m not crazy about the Bitsy bug either tbh, and I couldn’t agree more. The Bitsy flip is awesome! Give the combo a try and let me know what you think! It’s been awesome for me this far!
  12. Unfortunately they are a little expensive.. but they are worth it imo! As trailers I also like the 2.8” Keitech Crazy Flapper and the 3” Netbait Paca Craw. Those are also good alternatives for this!
  13. I figured it may be useful to some! It’s been super great for me and I actually prefer the Reins craw over the TRD craw for this as well. Scented and it has a better action as well! Give it a try! ?
  14. Hey everyone wanted to share something with y’all. So I’ve been playing around with my spinning rods again considering I haven’t touched them in a while and have found a lot of success with this little jig combo, especially for smallmouth. Hell I’ve even been catching walleye with it too lol. I’ve been using the Strike King Bitsy Bug Mini Jig and as a trailer I’ve been using the Reins Ring Craw. Let me tell you I’ve been absolutely crushing them on it up north it’s been incredible. This has been the most successful fishing day I’ve had in a long time. Figured I’d share for you guys that have high pressure or clear water!! If you try it, let me know what you think!! I put it next to a Rage Bug so you guys could see, this thing is TINY and has been awesome!!
  15. Mostly rocky/gravel bottoms and soft bottom. Definitely not if there’s vegetation. Check out some YouTube videos on it. It’s alot of fun!
