  1. BC Lil'Magnum is my favorite jig for grass. I fish mainly on a clear lake with lots of stringy grass and some curlyleaf. I pair it with a crush city cleanup craw mostly. The head shape and vertical line tie come through grass really well for me. Not the best choice around wood. Favorite colors are green pumpkin blue (ALF exclusive color), green pumpkin, or stealth pumpkin. You can drag it, hop it, swim it.... extremely versatile.
  2. I have that exact rod with a 2500 Vanford A on it. It feels great, awesome combo. Used primarily for neko rig. If you go for a Vanford efinitely get the newer Vanford A which feels more refined than the previous gen.
  3. Added one of those magnetic hook keepers that uses a small o-ring above the handle. https://www.amazon.com/Booms-Fishing-Magnetic-Keeper-Cushion/dp/B07DRJ5QTC Wrap with a rapala lure wrap when stored. The stock lower keeper is only good for things like jigs or texas rig hooks.
  4. Just getting into swim jigs this year. Really happy with the Expride 7'6"MH (moderate fast) so far. Mostly in and around grass. @Kev-mo is correct on the delay and sweeping hookset much like with a chatterbait. Tried a Sierra 704 and Expride 72MH fast also but prefer the EXC76BMH by far. For reference my chatterbait rod is a DC 736CB Glass which works great. Have not tried it but it could work for swim jig but feel it may be too slow.
