  1. select items blowout sale at TW, as usual it's weird colors/models but there are some gems.
  2. My buddy caught this one last June on a brush hog
  3. Biggest of 7 striper from the Hayward shore this morning, 23". All caught on a white pearl saltwater rage swimmer.
  4. Weirdly no trap has been effective the last year or so for me. Striper just started eating it again for me this season so it will get a workout shortly. I tossed it around a bit last year but no takers. They were eating the lv500 last weekend and typically love an under spin swimbait so I have high hopes.
  5. All my rods that throw a trap have 7ish:1 reels
  6. Fun morning at the forebay on Saturday. 4 striper all on a lipless in about 10ft, friend got another 3.
  7. More spring fever. Lost my bone duo trap on Saturday so of course had to order 2 more plus a few other things.
  8. I use 6lb on one of my bfs rods. It has had the same line on for 2 seasons now and never had a problem. It was one of my most used combos last year so it's also not just riding the rod rack.
  9. they're really close but if anything the new evo hook is just a hair shorter at the bend
  10. It would be fine. I'm using mine for full size A rigs and top hook/weedless swimbaits like huds/burritos etc. Currently spooled with 20lb invisx and on a Dobyns 794.5AR
  11. Sorry I haven't fished the ned so can't compare, just adding the visual. Spunk shad is my go-to 99% of the time.
  12. 3.5" spunk shad on a 3/8 mini max, skirt has been trimmed.
  13. I almost grabbed some but they're not in the CA warehouse yet so it would be slow UPS shipping. Did get a couple of the mini evos though.
  14. They're out now, TW has them in stock
  15. I have used their tungsten jig heads for BFS fishing. better keeper than a Keitech ball head and amazon prime shipping is a nice lazy bonus. Hooks are fine but I'm only using a 1/16oz #2 head, no idea on their bigger hooks or other styles.
  16. Owner range roller XL comes in a 12 gram 4/0 or 5/0 hook.
  17. odds and ends from TW, mostly striper stuff but I couldn't resist the baby kingyo JR+1
  18. First striper of the year from the Hayward shoreline this morning
  19. Feels like the sink rate on that jerk is gonna be a little off, might not suspend correctly
  20. I fish brackish water near my house sometimes and basically just blast the reel with a garden hose when I get home. Similar technique to what they show but I don't take the time to remove the spool. No issues yet, knock on wood.
  21. A lot of Yo Zuri hybrid, straight fluoro for jerkbaits and jigs, braid for frogs/heavy swimjigs, braid to leader on all the spinning rods.
  22. Catching some bass + bonus check from work order. Bronco bug did some work last trip so figured I would give the originals a try and compare.
  23. First bass of 2025 only took 2 months.
  24. I've been really happy with the Dobyns SUF 701. Haven't landed any giant bass yet but I did snag a 20+lb salmon last year and was able to get it to the bank. Caught countless rats and sub 2lbers.
