  1. That’s what I would do. 7-7 3 MH that fits your budget. A spinning rod, a MH & that 735 would cover a lot of baits.
  2. They’rea little heavier than most but I love my Daiwa BG’s.
  3. Came here to post this. I think it was Culprit that used to make a salt & pepper that was a clear worm with black specks. It worked good in really clear water.
  4. Those Trika rods are interesting. Haven’t heard much chatter about them yet though.
  5. I read that in Bassmaster magazine back in the late 80’s. It works really good.
  6. Bait_Wrx has $30 off on Bass X & Mojo Bass rods https://bait-wrx.com/collections/st-croix-bass-x-and-mojo-bass
  7. The lake we fished last weekend is loaded with smallies. All they were hitting were Ned’s. I threw everything at them too.
  8. I looked a little deeper into those but I don’t think it would do anything my Toadface couldn’t.
  9. I hate to keep beating the drum but I really do like the two I have. The sensitivity is close enough to my IMX that I honestly can’t feel a difference. Especially not $150 worth.
  10. I'm also looking at a IMX-PRO 844c. But my ALX Zolo Deputy is so close to my IMX 853 that it's hard to spend the extra $. Which gets me back to the ALX rods...
  11. How’s the sensitivity? I know @WRB talks pretty highly about them too.
  12. ProductoLure tournament worms in 6”& 8”, same worms for 40 years. Also the Five Tackle Big Cuz and Suresack mag worms. I have a duffle bag full of others but I use these the most.
  13. My 3/8 jig rod is a IMX-Pro 853 JWR. A 904 MBR might be the ticket too.
  14. Hahahaha.... You know though, I am wanting a good jig rod....
  15. I'll check those out too. For the right rod I could go to $450.
  16. Those interest me too. I've never owned or even fished a Megabass. That just makes me jealous
  17. That's true, but my Toadface flat hucks a frog.
  18. Thanks for all that info man. That AGS is up on my radar. I’m not in a huge hurry to decide. The TFO will work for now but I just don’t really like it.
  19. I do like NFC blanks I have a 610 MXF Tatula spinning rod that kicks ass.
  20. First off, sorry for so many of these posts this year. I'm upgrading a few rods and appreciate the knowledge and experience here... I've really got into jig fishing this year. I bought a TFO Tactical Elite 736 and it just doesn't do it for me. Compared to the rest of my rods it's a pretty dead stick. I'm looking to throw up to 3/4oz plus a trailer so probably around 1oz total. Something that would go down to 3/8 plus a trailer would be a bonus. It would be nice if it could make a good pitching rod as well. But mostly it'll be a bottom dragging rod. Budget is up to around $350.
