  1. I’ve got a Dobyns Fury 735C & 795SB that I’m not very fond of. They’re ok but not great.
  2. I picked up one of the 7’6” helium creature, magnum worm, jig rods on the last sale. It’s pretty sweet.
  3. They're worthless. Please send them to me for proper recycling.
  4. Built to the same specs? Maybe Kistler didn’t want a visible change to their rods? I don’t know. I just wanted to add that the blanks on the older and new one appear identical.
  5. When I bought my 1448 I sold my 1032 and immediately regretted it. It’s nice to have a small boat to just throw in the back of the truck and go. I ended up getting a Sundolphin 8.5. I love the d**n thing. I’m 60 and my balance isn’t what it used to be but I have zero problems standing up in it. And it’s easy to just slide into the truck.
  6. @ATA did any lake in Oregon make the list?
  7. I just bend it in half and put the o-ring close enough.
  8. Nope.
  9. I have a couple of years old Helium that is a NFC blank. I just got a new helium with the KC9 blank delivered yesterday. The blanks look identical.
  10. It was some spincast combo when I was a kid, probably a Zebco. I remember the rod was white and the reel was black and white with a chrome trigger that held it to the rod.
  11. I’d go NRX. Whatever is left over spend on a reel.
  12. I’d wait a week or so for the 4th of July sales to kick in. You might be able to get a better rod at that price point.
  13. And I was perfectly happy with my plain old o-rings…
  14. Between you and @bulldog1935 I’ve learned a lot since I started down this BFS rabbit hole. Much appreciated!
  15. I’ve got a Tatula 100 & a couple of Fuego CT 100’s. I’ll be there odd man out and say I like the Fuego’s better.
  16. But they have Berarings & a Magmetic Brakes!
  17. I agree with this.
  18. I’ve had good luck using circle hooks. Just reel down on them to set the hook. I’ve heard it said people get more gut hooks with them but that’s not been my experience at all.
  19. I’ve still got a Ryobi V Max 3 ?
