I've used the strike king shallow water hybrid hunter in the past and have had some success with it, particularly in shallow waters and around grass. The delta red color should work well in stained water. As for advice, try varying your retrieval speed and using a twitch-pause retrieve to mimic a wounded baitfish
I love the SPRO Bronzeye popping 60 frog in natural green color. As for the regular 65 frog, I prefer it in black color. My advice is to experiment with different colors and see what works best in your local fishing spots.
Just got back from a trip with Florida Reels Fishing Charters in St Petersburg and had an amzing time! I found them through https://super-fishing-charters.com/fishing-charters/united-states/florida/st-petersburg/, and they really helped me with my choice. The captain was very knowledgable and friendly, made our shark fishing experience unforgettable. I highly recomend
Sounds like you had a great day on the water! Jerk baits can be real productive for smallies, especially in that 18-22 fow range. Next time, try mixing in some drop shot rigs with soft plastics – it might help to target even more finicky fish.
Day two sound rough, but nice job on day three despite conditions! 35 smallies is great, and those 5lbers & 6lber are real nice catches. Were the blade baits a specific color or brand that work better for you in these conditions?
Nice conditions you got there! I also find success with drop shots around structure, but sometimes switching to a spinnerbait or jerkbait helps when chatterbaits aren't working. Experimenting with different lure colors might make a difference too. What species of fish are you targeting mainly?
It's impressive how much of a difference trailers can make in your catches! Sometimes it's all about the small details in presentation that can trigger a bite.
Throwing a Spinnerbait in lilly pads good choice for sure, sometimes them big bass hiding there! Your buddy's right bout Striper, they like deep clear water, trolling works well for them. What color and size Spinnerbait you was using?
Oh man, that's a bummer. I haven't checked out Old School's channel in a while, but that's weird that all his videos are gone. Do you know if he made any announcement or if something happened to his account?
Hey y'all! I'm a fishrman from Jacksonville, FL, an' i just love me some seabass fishing. I relly prefer offshore fishing, there's nothing like it. Excited to join this forum and learn from all you guys!
