  1. I havent bought GYB's in a bit, started making my own. I still have some, and I use them from time to time.
  2. Got my hearing loss from my time in the ARMY. I was on 155mm SP Howitzers (M109A6) and spent alot of time as the No.1 Man loading and firing. Left side faces the breach....thats where my hearing loss is, thats where my tinnitus is. Really only gets bad when its quiet. Definitely causes some sleep issues.
  3. Would something like this be a good substitute for a bull flat?
  4. Not sure if you like to fish the bottom with craws or leeches.....but North Branch Tackle has a really nice sled jig setup you may want to check out. Biggest they have is 3/0 though. They work great for presenting both baits upright.
  5. I have an 08 Tundra, bought it in 2014 w/46k on it. Has 160k now and I cant find a reason to get rid of it.....other than I'd like something a little newer. I'll run it for another year or so and pass it on to my son when he can drive.....then daddy gets a new toy lol.
  6. Been there more times than I care to remember, and Im about to be there again. I understand, and im so sorry for your loss.
  7. If the swimbaits dont cut it I switch over to these: Googling now, thanks for costing me more money ?
  8. These are just under 4", work well as a trailer, and give that profile you're talking about. I use them in a few colors depending on water conditions. I blocked the logos so I dont get my hand smacked. Another color I like
  9. Pretty bad all over the county man. All the parks in Kirkwood were pretty well flooded the last 2 days. Rivers near me are way up, I still have my few small private ponds to hit up if youre interested. I need to go test out some new baits I shot anyways.
  10. We all get bit by it from time to time.
  11. Got a new mold last week. I enjoy slab fishing so this was a no brainer for me
  12. No way in hell you'd catch me out on the Suskie on ice. You're a braver man than I. I fished the Owego stretch a few times.....there be some holes out that way!!!
  13. Im drooling over here.
  14. No denying the OG GYS is a great bait.
  15. Good ol "Pumpkin Seed" still produces. Only color Sticks I have in my bag are GP/Blk, Wtrmln/Red, Black/Blue, Motor Oil, & Pumpkin Seed. If I dont catch anything on those....I go home ?
  16. Taking my son out for his first time next weekend. Starts on the 1st here in NY. Got a sweet spot all picked out already.
  17. Lots of "Dad" talk here. Hits ya right in the feels when they're gone.
  18. I bought GYM's for YEARS. Got tired of them tearing after every 2nd bite. I make my own now with a sinking plastisol, no salt, and I SLAM bass on them. The salt creates cavities, cavities create weak points, weak points are vulnerable and tear. It's a by product of adding salt is all. Nothing against them, I just like my baits a bit more durable....like my Toyota Tundra.
  19. 3-4" leech on a sled jig. GP, Chartreuse, or black. Deadly.
  20. 4 Sticks.
  21. Hence why I make my own. I bought 2 molds and 1 gallon ($180 total) of plastisol a year ago, still have some left and I've already come out in the green. Hell, last summer between me, my son, and 2 friends we saved money.
  22. I purposely bought this mold so I could make these as they are harder to find around here these days.
  23. Good old 3" Mr. Twister Chartreuse Grub......and the Heddon Sonic in Black w/white strike (Rat-L Trap now since I cant find any). Dad used to crush bass on them in the Susquehanna, he always said they were the only 2 baits you need there.....now they STAY in my kit at all times. Miss ya pops.
  24. Side note, I will have a pile of soft baits on me for a few friends and their kids. If you get low email me, I check it like 30 times a day. I'll make sure you can stay on the water.
