  1. I make my own using BOSS components. Of the ones I make my favorite are my 3/8oz swim jig, my 5/16oz finesse flipping jig, and my 1oz. flip/punch jigs.

    New 9Mm

I have always been a .45acp guy, but carrying full sized 1911's......or any 1911 for that matter, has gotten old. I still like to shoot them...........where is this going you may ask? Well, a year ago if you would have asked me, I would have been old typical .45/1911 guy ...........big bullets, steel, blah blah blah.................That is until I started shopping for a 9mm, it WAS going to be a 1911 in 9mm...........was and is are very different, I bought a Glock 19, and couldn't be happier.
  3. Only if you use Mustad hooks.
  4. Backwards with the tail tied in a knot.
  5. I'll pay you a nickel for every nonsense thread you get shut down with an crass comment here, that's of course if I have to alert you to take action. If you do it on your own, we'll bump it up to a dime. Email your resume to ww2farmerisana-hole@hotmail.com ......ughh wait a minute, they payroll dept just informed me that in light of recent activity here we can't afford this. Bust of luck on your job search
  6. My favorite is the Strike king KVD 200,in either yellow perch, or natural bream.
  7. I run #4 Mustad KVD elite ,1x strong, 2x short triple grips on them. It's one size bigger than the stock hooks but has no adverse effects on the bait.
  8. Anyone know the price point yet?
  9. I think we can all agree that this is ridiculous.
  10. Nope...........I do just fine with an aluminum bass boat, $100 rods and reels, $6 cranks, and $3 bags of soft plastics.
  11. Don't know, and don't care. Whatever it has works fine for me.
  12. I have always liked Cabela's house branded "Daiwa's" I have a couple of the current Prodigy's now. When this reel goes on sale, or I have gift cards, I'll give it a look.
  13. I use a rattle when the water gets stained, none when it's semi to very clear. Why?? IDK, it's just the way I have always done it and it works for me. Interestingly enough, ALL of my deep cranks have rattles and I catch fish just fine with them in clear water, and ALL my shallow cranks are silent, and they work in dirty water..........so does a rattle matter, probably not. When the water was at it's peak green/nasty-ness last fall I was still catching fish on a very subtle little 1/4 oz swim jig...........go figure.
  14. Same here. My most often used line is probably 30lb braid with a 17lb fluoro leader. I like a little heavier leader for dock work than for weed pocket/weed line stuff............metal dock posts and cross bars with zebra mussels on them are like under water razor wire.
  15. SK 5xd's and 6xd's are my top two. I can get both 20+ feet deep long lining, and the 5xd will hit 12' or so on a normal cast, and the 6xd about 15' on a normal cast. Slightly deeper (a foot or two) if I am really bombing them out there.
  16. I spray crops, mow hay, dragline manure, fix mobile air conditioning, and drive truck (both semis and straight trucks) hauling ag commodities.
  17. Yeah.........................don't bother, IIRC... Black lake is still one of the lakes in NY that is CLOSED for bass fishing until "season" opens the third Sat. in June. In may you'll find good fishing in the Finger Lake and C&R bass fishing is allowed.
  18. Yup....
  19. What he said. I only use what the MFG. prints on the rod label as a "guide". I pick and chose my rods based on how they feel to me. That being said, for flipping an pitching I like rods with a "little tip" that transition into a stout back bone about a 1/3 of the way down. Some companies call this X-fast, some fast, some moderate fast, etc.....Heck I have two rods within the same product line that behave this way, a 7'3" MH Vendetta, and a 7' M Vendetta, Abu labels the MH as "XF" and the M as "MF" so it's not even universal in the same line of rods from the same MFG.
  20. I have caught more on a red craw type color than all the other colors combined. Even in clear water.
  21. Many.....from stupidity mostly.
  22. Beagles that I have been around run their yap nonstop, which is fitting in this situation. Maybe you should train it to shut up.... You know, a "do as I say, not as I do" kind of situation.
  23. Not in the least....I used to be "only shimano reels can go on shimano rods" or insert rod/reel name guy. Now I don't care either. I use Abu rods, Daiwa casting reels, and Pflueger spinning reels. To me it's all about best value for my $$
  24. I do it for a day or two with smallmouth, then, honestly, it gets boring. Largemouth are too finicky on the bed for me. I am sure some of the largemouth I catch in the spring are on beds, but I don't target obvious bedding largemouth unless its a hog.
