  1. All my big fish were released, and the only thing on my wall are photos in frames. To me the replicas AND the real thing look like crap. The only size fish I keep are the ever abundant 12"er's for a fish fry a couple times a year.
  2. Not all bass on a body of water spawn at the same time, I do fish for bass during the spawn but never intentionaly for single bass on beds, that beeing said I have probably caught hudreds of fish off beds but they are promptly released. I know it what i said makes little sense, but every year I see just as many bass on beds as I do just crusing the shallows , I target these cruising fish, and if I happen to catch one directly off a bed it's unintentional. I DO NOT hover around a bed dragging my bait around it trying to provoke a strike. If I come across an area that has little activity other than bucks on beds I leave and try to find bigger fish.
  3. I have never used senkos, so I can't comment on them. But the yum digers sure do catch me a ton of bass. I use the 4"and 5" and the 4" out produces the 5" for numbers, but the 5" sure does a job on the biggins. I tried the 5" Tiki sticks this weekend, and while a caught a bunch I think I like the yum dingers better.
  4. I have 7 ponds between 1 and 10 acres and fish them all from the bank. Walk slowly, and fish every inch of it. Smaller baits work well in early spring, but by mid summer throw the biggest lures you have at them. In Summer night fishing is best. If the pond is yours, start culling out bass under 1lb or they just grow slow and become over populated.
  5. another vote for bubblegum, even in the clear waters around here it works very very well.
  6. Where I live we have both great LM and SM fishing, I tend to fish for LM about 90% of the time.
