  2. Just retail, but if you can't find what you want at the store closet to you call around to some other Gander Mtn's the will sell you stuff over the phone and ship it CHEAP.
  3. Also check in with Gander Mtn. I found several Avids for $99 last week, and a Legend Tournament for $150
  4. 7" & 10" Culprits for me. I like Red Shad, Black Shad, Junebug, and Green pumpkin/purple flake.
  5. I might not be done either, I really REALLY like the Shimano Crucial rods I was looking at the other day
  6. Casting Rods: St Croix Avid AC610MHF St Croix Legend Tournamnet TBC66MF "Jerkbait" St Croix Legend Tournament TBC70MF "Teaser" St Croix Legend Tournament TBC76MHMF "Pitching" Kistler Magnisum MG 7' H/Fast "Jig and Toad" Kistler Magnisum MG 7' MH/Fast "Senko Special" Fenwick HMX 6'10" XH/Fast Spinning: St Croix Avid AS70MF St Croix Avid AS70MLF St Croix Avid AS66MF St Croix Avid AS60MF I did get 3 more Kistlers and 2 more Legend Tournaments for Xmas, but I returned the Kislters and picked up some reels with the store credit, gave the St Croix Legend Torunament 66MHF to my grandfather for a Xmas gift, and sold the St Croix Legend Tour. 73XHF to a buddy who was looking for that rod for his big jigging fetish. I also had 2 All-Star ASR's bought but returned them when I found 2 more Avids on sale last week for $99 Now for the reels. Casting: Shimano Curado 101D Shimano Citica 201 3 more Abu Garcia Revo S-L's Quantum Accurist 501PT Abu Garcia 5501C3 Spinning: Pflueger Supreme 8030 Pflueger Supreme 8035 Pflueger Presidant 6735 Lures and other tackle......................I'd be here all night
  7. I have fished all the jigs that Tin thinks are better, I would take a Booyah, Tru-tungsten, Strike- King, or Outkast over his choices anyday
  8. Bass: Nov. 3rd, caught 2 3lb Smallies, and a 2.5lb LM, dragging a tube on the outside weededge of my home lake. Other fish: Today, brought home 18 nice bluegills and 11 yellow perch from a hole in the ice.
  9. They were actually at a Gander Mtn. I don't go to often. Good thing I decided to stop in and check. The Gander Mtn. closer to me was sold out of them weeks ago.
  10. Picked up 2 more Avids on sale, and another Legend Tournament. Thes Avids: AS70MF AC610MHF and the Legend Tournament: TBC66MF Was looking for a Legend Tournament 7' H/F "Frog and Slop" rod, but couldn't pass on those. The Avids were $99, and the Leg. Tourny. was $129
  11. I love Sensation. I use it just about on every rod I don't have braid on. Low stretch, little to no memory, very abbrasion resistant, and very managable on spinning gear.
  12. I have reels from all the major baitcaster players (Shimano, Daiwa, Abu Garcia, Pflueger, and Quantum) and the 2 Quantums I have , Accurist 501CX, and Accurist 501PT, are as good as any of the others in at there price point. The CX is an $80 reel while the PT is a $130 reel, I have had no problems with either, but If I had the choice, I would get the PT insted of the CX.
  13. Rat-L-Trap for me, in fact it's the only brand I fish now.
  14. Did the C3 I sold you break?? Let me know if I need to do anything to make it right with you. As for a rod a BPS Cranking stick is a great cranking rod in your price range, I would go with the MH as the M is a bit too limber IMHO.
  15. I am along the same lines as most, I carry 8-10 with me on the boat at all time, plus have more that get rotated in and out based on seasonal need.
  16. I am surprised so many people have had bad expierances with the Baby 1-, it is one of my favorite baits. Other than changing hooks I have never had any trouble, and I own about 60 of them. I have had some that have run true for years with no tuning, and I like the new Elite series even better than the older ones. NOW the Mann's 4-, I am not a fan of.
  17. I'd be game for Presque Isle bay, never been there, and Erie PA. is only about 90mins. for me. If we were to stay in the Bay I could bring my boat (17' Bass Tracker). I would be leary about going out on the lake where I am not familiar (I 'd do it in Buffalo).
  18. I like the Snag Proof "Bobby's perfect frog" and Zoom's Horny Toad
  19. I use Trilene Sensation, which is Berkely's co-polomer, it floats and I use for top waters. It is more abbrasion resistant than XL, but not as stiff as XT, has less stretch than both, and as a result is more sensitive.
  20. anyone interested in the area (or any one else on the forum) interested in a get together, not on the grand scale as the offical trip to Guntersville, but something like that on Erie for SM
  21. LOL maybe our brother-in-laws are related. Mine is also a retard, and a retard that is drunk 24-7 on top of that. But back to fishing related products: BPS XPS hooks, 2/3 of the EWG Bulk pack I bought a few years ago had poorly formed eyes, and all of them dulled after 1 fish. Chatterbaits: besides beeing over hyped, the are poorly made, Booyah Boogie baits are much better IMHO Any thing made by Storm except Wiggle Warts and chug bugs Stren line Abu Garcia and Quantum spinning reels, love both brands casting reels, but there spinning reels Pflueger casting reels, same as above only reverse, I almsot use Pflueger spinning reels exclusivly, but there lack of small frame LH casting reels is rediculous Any product endorsed on a TV info-mercial
  22. Gamakatsu hooks. Never had one fail me. It's the only hook brand I buy.
  23. Black and Blue Green pumpkin All I ever need.
  24. I looked at a lot of Shimano rods yesterday, Compre's and Crucial's, first time I have ever paid much attention to there rods. The seemed like fantastic rods for a great price, so I would be interested in any reveiws of these rods as well.
  25. Mine are all mounted now on Avids as well, great combo's that don't break the bank
