  1. How’d you fish it? Did you fish it as a moving bait or like a t-rig? Asking for a friend…
  2. With all due respect, screw you. and I said with all due respect, so you can’t be mad at me…
  3. Slippery when wet…such a great album
  4. If you never catch fish, does it matter?? That said, I have hi-vis yellow on one of my spinning setups that is used for mostly vertical fishing.
  5. Not from a diagnosis standpoint, but in my house, the best way to fight cabin fever is spend all day long on TW, ALF, TheHookup, digitaka, Japan lure shop and telling the bait monkey “tomorrow, I promise”
  6. They are currently on sale at TW for 30% off.
  7. For anyone not named @A-Jay, the same applies. Will ship boiled peanuts.
  8. Dude - I raised 4 children. Gas is nothing to me 😂😂
  9. @A-Jay I got you bro. You could be my big brother. You know adult adoption is a thing. I’m a 100% service connected disabled vet, and I could use you as my dependent 😂😂 Only issue I see is that you’ll have to learn to eat boiled peanuts, fried okra and fried green tomatoes… at least the fishing is good in this area…
  10. Words are good, but I say again - this post is useless without pics… I mean - how do you expect us to hate on your gear if you don’t even show us 😂😂
  11. Anything Googan. They make ok baits, but the hype is all YouTube.
  12. I use a very similar, if not identical mix (prob not ratios) in my woodshop. Tru Oil is a mix of BLO (boiled linseed oil), varnish/poly and mineral spirits/thinner. I didn’t have any mixed up already, so I just bought some Tru Oil.
  13. Haha! That’s funny. I live in the Monrovia area. I fish Ditto frequently. I’m a kayak guy, and there, I’ll fish the bow created by Hobbs Island. I’ll also fish the rock piles across the river where the barges load up.
  14. Not to hijack this thread, but is that the raceway at 53 and research park in HSV? If so, welcome neighbor…I live about 4 miles from that racetrack…
  15. Color aside, I just spooled some Daiwa XBraid Grande and it is very supple. It casts like a dream too…
  16. I just picked up a tour versatile and a Diablo spec-r. Tossed them around a bit and it was money. Tour versatile and my new tatula spooled out a 1/2oz jig with just a flick of the wrist. Had my Diablo loaded with a spinner bait. I need to dial that one in a little better, but all in all, I like them. Now, I’ve only had them about a month or so, so long term I can’t answer…
  17. I should also add that if you want a reel from Summerland, you should probably get it before @A-Jay reads this post… 😂😂
  18. Just stumbled upon this place. Don’t know how I missed it. Am in Columbus, GA with the wife for work. Went over to Summerland Oudoors and walked around. Didn’t even j ow about that place! Great staff. Reel selection pretty good. They stock pretty much all lines of MB, St Croix, G Loomis, Daiwa and Shimano rods. The reel wall was pretty good looking too! I know there’s a discount section on their website and noticed they had a Met DC for $399. Just bought 2 new Tatula’s or I might’ve brought one home.
  19. Jittery Trading Post - NEWYEAR for 20% off a bunch of stuff. I know Megabass is included. They don’t stock a ton of MB stuff, but a Levante for about $160 would be a good deal if I needed one…
  20. Anchor wizard? That’s what I use on my Bonafide. I have an anchor trolley as well, but only run my anchor through it on really windy days. Otherwise, the anchor deploys off the front of the kayak. My anchor (anchor wizard brand - hate it - getting a da bomb next) is on a quick release that I can just unclip and run the line through my anchor trolley and reclip.
  21. You gotta seal that cork. Look at the before/after pics of my Orochi’s I used Birchwood Casey Tru-oil on mine…
  22. 3mm is “only” 1/8. I used to buy precision ground rods down to 3/16 for space applications. That’s only 1/16” above 3mm. Wonder if they have any problems with it. I wouldn’t guess, but then again, I’m not their design or manufacturing engineers!
  23. Meant to purchase some U-40 for my rods. Forgot to add it to my order. Nobody locally carries it. Did some searching and saw a few people used Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil. I ran over to Cabela’s and picked up a bottle. Below is a before and after (2 different rods actually). Very nice finish and not slick at all. Haven’t gotten it wet yet, but a few of the “reviews” I read said it got slick with H2O. Either way, it looks very good.
  24. Yeah, TW still has it on sale for their 12 days of sales. Ends on the 7th. I’ve been running either Seaguar Tactx (pretty dang stiff, but good cost and easy to find locally) or Suffix 832 (pretty much a strictly braid guy). This stuff is going to start replacing those. I can get it “locally” (about a 45 min drive) at Lake Guntersville, but may stock up on different sizes from TW before the 7th. One thing of note is 50lb is the same dia as 12lb big game mono (I use it as a backing).
