  1. I handled one at work the other day and for $99, I think I’m going to let it just sit there, for $250, I wouldn’t have even opened the box. This thing does not feel like a $100 reel, much less a $250 one. I like to just spin the handle/spool on a reel while at work talking to people. That said, this handle doesn’t spin, it feels like it has 100% drag on all the time. Kinda feels clunky and toy-like as well…sold the crap out of them at $99 though…
  2. Don’t have a pic - went to academy today…additional 50% off of clearance $57 total 2 300y spools of 832, 50# 8” cull shad 8 different 6th sense hard baits 20oz Diet Coke BPS - a finesse crankbait just to use my discount on something other than a Diet Coke at my home store 😂
  3. I bought a flat sided crankbait at bass pro today. I’m in Greenville, SC and just wanted to use my discount on something besides a Diet Coke…
  4. Not to push product, but the triple crown started today at Bass Pro. We sold 10 126 and 106 sv bundles today within the first 10 mins of the store opening. If you’re a club member, it’s 0% off now as well. Just a thought worth looking at…
  5. Railblaza live pole. I’ve never used it, but we have one set up at the store. It’s “track” friendly…
  6. The cuda scissors are my go to in various lengths….
  7. I run braid on one of my spinning rigs, and on ALL of my baitcasters. I have begun the switch from Seaguar Tactx braid on everything to suffix 832 and Daiwa JBraid Grand X8 (switching all to this line for 2025).
  8. I literally have zero art skills. I’m a woodworker by hobby, and thought I’d try my hand at making some wooden baits. I did a few smaller swimbaits, but then realized I didn’t know how to paint them. I have scoured YouTube and watched quite a few artists, not just lure makers (I love watching lowrider/old skool designs being masked off and painted)… since I’m “retired/disabled”, I have a lot of time on my hands. So I’ve watched quite a bit. I have a couple dozen older BPS cranks and jerkbaits that I found somewhere and am using those as test dummies. What really got me though was I bought a DRT Klash 9 for about $125. Then, I went and bought a few knockoffs to paint. That’s what started me down this rabbit hole.
  9. Cuda scissors. I have like 10 pair everywhere. They are great. I have small ones in my pfd, 5” pair tethered to my measuring board, a few pair in misc junk drawers in house…they cut through anything…
  10. I painted this the other day. Nothing special, but the first one I’ve painted. No clear coat on it, just an older CB that I was using for test purposes..
  11. Thanks @spartyon8 I went and donated double red and platelets at my local life south and for a $40 Amazon gift card 😂😂. I donate anyway, but it was a win-win. I purchased the Neoeco that engineered angler, as well as many others on YouTube, we’re reviewing. Will be here Tuesday, so I’ll take it for a test drive. I used the createx and others from HL. I also am using the golden high flow from Michaels. Right now, I’m just trying to dial in the airbrush techniques and color theory stuff. I have some Vallejo shifters and have enjoyed figuring out the differences based off of different color base coats. I have a red/gold shifter that is beautiful green/pink/magenta/awesome when on a black base coat…
  12. I forgot today was the day. I woke up this morning and my wife immediately called an ambulance on my behalf…
  13. So, since I am trying to fill my time with everything, I picked up a new airbrush from harbor freight. Got some older lures that I’m just starting with. I’m looking for some simple patterns/color theory lessons, etc to help move me along. I have a new airbrush on the way to replace the HF one, but have been using it now just trying to get a grip on control, issues, etc. Anyone have any advice?
  14. I know I’ve clipped line before and put it in my kayak and I’m sure some of that didn’t make it to the trash. However, if it’s enough that I know could cause a problem, I always make sure to put it in my cup holder to throw away.
  15. Again, with all due respect. You suck. And I said with all due respect so it’s good…
  16. I regularly fish a 7’11 swimbait rod in my kayak. However, I stand most often too… I just bought the Diablo spec-r (Orochi xx) for my bladed jig rod.
  17. Well, that’s the issue…you tried to sneak orders on work time. Be a man (or woman) and don’t sneak! If you get asked, let them know you are feeding the less fortunate (BM - though we all know he’s way more fortunate than any of us)!
  18. I forgot to add that you can order the prescription glasses or sunglasses on the costa site and have them delivered to Sunglasses Hut. They may also be an authorized dealer to order Rx from, though I don’t know 100%.
  19. If I had my druthers, I’d wear contacts with my regular costas. However, my progressive prescription is not user friendly with contacts. My doc and I worked on quite a few different options, but we never could get it right. I’m secretly hoping that my prescription is changing fast enough to get to where I can wear contacts sooner rather than later. I have to have a pair of glasses in my life jacket as well as in my umpire ball bag because I can’t see up close. My sight started dwindling about 10 yrs ago (along with my hearing - thanks a lot Army).
  20. I figured since I’m there at least weekly, and I know most of the guys in the fishing section by sight and name, why not get paid to go there? Since I live in Alabama, I can relate to the above…
  21. I don’t go looking for it, but if I’m seeing snags on limbs and such, my first thought is what’s it attached to?
  22. Season 3 is almost completed filming and season 4 starts soon; will be completed in 2025 according to the creator. Season 4 will be the end. I didn’t know it was based off a book though…so, time to buy some credits on Audible…
  23. I suggest watching Silo on Apple TV+. 2 seasons and very bingeable.
  24. Back in the day…late 80s/early 90s, I worked selling fireworks during the seasons. We were selling bottle rockets at $4.95/gross. The company was paying a hair over $0.02/gross.
  25. If anyone wants some good, cheap polarized sunglasses, check out Goodr and/or Knockaround. $25-$35/pair. Academy, REI, and running stores usually stock them. I usually have a few pair kicking around. Umpire bag, kayak, tackle bag, truck…for $25, they are excellent…
