Well, I have no experience tying leader knots and the thought sounds annoying to me. I know most people prefer it though and at some point I should try it.

I'm going to be spooling up a 3000 size Shimano Miravel here soon and I’m planning to use this setup for things like small swimbaits, neds, dropshots, etc. (basically whatever I feel is too small/finessy for my casting setups). I’ve had some trouble previously with line twists when it comes to fluoro on spinning reels (albeit, cheap line), but I like all the advantages fluoro provides. I also don’t really want to use braid to fluoro if possible. Other than Tatsu (I’m a college student, a little out of my budget lol), what fluoro performs best as mainline on spinning gear? Thanks!

I’m shopping around for a medium moderate rod around 7’ for cranks, some topwater, jerkbaits, etc. (basically a treble hook rod) at around $150. Has anyone had any experience with the 7’ Tatula Medium Regular rod and, if so, will it work well for these applications?

Would the small diameter of braid eliminate this problem? That’s the main reason I was considering braid, but I know braid for cranking might not be ideal

I try to carry as few rods as possible and I’m planning to use a 7’ Med Mod(or modfast) casting rod as an everything treble hooks rod essentially. With that being said, I’m having a hard time deciding between braid (and if so what test) or a mono or copolymer. What lines work well for cranking and would also work for a spook or even a small plopper or popper? Thanks for any advice!
