    2 fish...

here is a couple i caught...the first one was yesterday on a t-rigged blue fleck powerworm w/3/16oz bullet....the second was today on a black zoom horney toad Cliff
  2. i use berkley sabretail bug and *** beaver craw...the AB trailer is more productive
  3. yeah i move around too...but i am always carting 2-4 rod/reels so i figured havin a bigger box isnt that big of a deal.....i used to carry just a small plano box with a few different baits in it...with one combo....but i hate retying so much....so now i carry usually 3 combos and my whole bag...i keep a crank, a jig/t-rig, and a topwater tied on usually...much less retying Cliff
  4. i saw him after a few refreshes...cool!
  5. i think it is a good technique for any soft plastic at times
  6. i use berkley bionix..$50 at walmart
  7. throw it out, let it sit
  8. i dont own a trap of any kind ;D but it is on my list of things to buy soon! Cliff
  9. nope, i just double checked, plus it is dang near brand new...there is not even room for an "H" between "medium" and "action" sounds like maybe the Med rod is actually MH and the MH rod is actually Med...i dont know its not really a big deal...i really like both rods...i think for a $50 rod they are great....currently i use the MH rod for jigs and the Med rod for t-rigs...maybe i will just switch uses for them, i usually throw jigs to havy cover so it would make sense to use the more powerful rod for that thanks Cliff
  10. well, i wasnt able to get on the golf course tonight...the guy i go with who is the one who has permission to go there wasnt able to go...hopefully tomorrow....so i went to lake waco, which i havent fished in months due to flooding, but i did manage one dink on a t-rigged(3/16 bullet) red shad zoom u-tale worm....other than that it was a slow evening Cliff
  11. i have two of the same rod(berkley Bionix)...on the blank they read IM50-6-6M, 6'6" Medium Action, Lure 1/4-1, Line 10-25 IM16-6MH, Med. Heavy Action, Lure 3/8-3/4, Line 10-25 both are casting rods now the Med rod has a significantly thicker blank than the MH rod...both are, in my opinion, X-fast tips....why would the Med rod have a higher lure rating and thicker blank than the MH rod? does this have to do with the IM rating? the difference in length? Could either rod be mismarked? in my opinion the Med rod feels more powerful to me, was using the Med rod tonight and set the hook on a dink, he came right out of the water! i didnt set any harder than normal, this has never happened with the MH rod, or my other Med rod....i dont know much about the IM rating and all of that, but in my hands the Med rod feels like a more powerful rod.....any thoughts? thanks Cliff

    Truck advice

i am not 100 percent sure, but if the vin on a yota starts with a "J" is was built in japan..if it starts with a "4" it was built in the US i had an 89 toyota when i lived in minnesota...i bought it with 207.000 plus miles on it...it had 4" lift, big mud tires, aftermarket headers, and a whole lotta rust....but i drove that thing hard as hell, off road, pullin people out of ditches and snowbanks, i beat the crap out of it...it just kept going and going...finally, right before i moved to texas...i was pullin a co workers dodge dakota out of a ditch, he was burried in mud....hooked the strap up, snatched him up onto the road and roached the clutch in the process....couldnt afford to fix it and was about to move to the other end of the country....so i gave it away...yes, i said gave....*cries* anyway the guy i gave it too fixed the clutch and drove it through the following winter, and is probebly still driving it today....looking back i wish i would have towed it down here with me, cuz now i could have it fixed...man i loved that truck!! BTW, nice truck avid Cliff

  20. dude goonies is my all time favorite movie...i watch it weekly....if i am around the house doing some cleaning or whatever i will pop it in...man i love that movie....my wife laughs and calls me a dork when i say the lines in the movie before the actors say it... ;D Cliff
  21. i hear ya man....i quit smoking and started dippin about 4 years ago...now in the last 6 months or so i have started smoking a bit again too....but i can go without the smokes if i want.....i have only had one or twon the last couple weeks now...but i dip a can of grizzly about every two days or so...but i dont try to quit...because...well i just dont want to...maybe someday i will change my mind BTW good job burley Cliff
  22. hit the course again tonight...didnt catch as many but i did manage 4 bass in the 2lb range...three on a strike king bleeding bait crank(chart/blue, red hooks) and then i told my buddy...watch me pull a 5lber right off this tree....it had just a couple branches sticking out of the water....so i pitched my jig right out to it...BAM....2lber...lol.....but i was proud of myself for catching that one....i am really liking this jig fishing thing more and more Cliff
  23. i dont know from experience...but i have read on here i think, that it is crap...that it is not made in the USA like the other st croix rods...someone correct me if i am wrong Cliff
  24. i pulled two nice fish off the end of a concrete retaining wall the other day...pitched the jig, hit the wall, let it fall...two identical pitches and two fish...then i went to the other end of the wall and caught two more! Cliff
  25. i dont have alot of crankin experience, but this year the LC Fat BDS2 in american shad has done me good in pretty heavy vegetation....actually i was looking at my log last night, and this bait has been my best producer for keeper fish....and good numbers too...i run it along the weedlines and above them, when it hits the weed tops...i stop and let it float up a bit then continue...strikes have come on the pause, and while just crankin along...some as soon as it hits the water and other right before i pick it up....great lure Cliff
