  1. So I am allergic to shrimp, she loves shrimp but she never getss it at home for this reason. Well she got some recently and apparently it leaked in the fridge right into the potatoe bag! That baked potatoe I had for supper sure tasted good tonight, but now I am payin the price! Got hives all on my neck and I think I got some in my eye. She felt bad so she went to get me a DQ sundae. Anyone else have an weirdo allergies? Cliff
  2. Pretty much everything I have learned over the last few years related to bass fishing are from this site. I remember asking how to T-rig a worm! I do check another forum daily for local info but for anything else it is right here. I read every morning before work and every evening. Thanks BR. Cliff
  3. I have had mine for a couple years now. It works well I think. Compared to my Revo's though, it just dosen;t "feel" as good in my hands. It does work just as good as when it was new though.
  4. I throw weightless flukes and trick worms with a Revo S. No issues, casts a mile. I do not own a spinning combo for bass fishing. Cliff
  5. I made my own tube when I flew with rods. I used a PVC pipe and zip tied a cabinet handle on it to carry with. One end was permanetly capped and the other with a threaded cap. I painted it and put my name and address on it with a permanent marker. I had no issues. Security just had me open it up so they could see what was inside then then put it on the plane. This was about three years ago if that makes any difference.
  6. Last summer my brother came to visit from Ohio wanting to catch some bass, preferably bigger than what he gets up north. We only caught one fish the whole time, and it was only about two pounds. I happened to remove the hook from his fish and then accidentally dropped it back in the lake. The only fish he ever caught in Texas he didn't even get to touch!! He is coming in October this year, hope the fishing is better!
  7. I don't hide anything from my wife, in fact, she handles ALL the finances in this household so if I want some new gear or baits or whatever, I just ask her if I can have $50 bucks or whatever. If the money is available then I buy whatever I want, if it is not available then she lets me know when it is. She also doesn't mind when I go fishing everynight after work (summetrime) plus everyday during the weekend. ;D Cliff

    snooze

Mine goes off at 5:15, I hit snooze maybe once or twice. The clock it set 15 minutes fast so when I do get it up is only about 5:20-5:30. Then I sit and read BR for a bit, get my lunch ready and hit the road to work.
  9. Won't effect me one bit. It is only a few miles to the lake and I don't have a gas motor on the boat. The wind is the only thing that keeps me from going to the lake.
  10. If he is sober then I will eat my shorts!
  11. A sharp pocket knife works for me.

  13. I got mine for Christmas for $89 as well. I really like it. I actually do use the twitchin bar when I am flippin a jig or whatever. Very smooth in my opinion. I think if I had to pay regualr price I would go with something else but for $89 bucks it is a steal.
  14. I don't switch, I use left hand retrieve reels. The rod stays in my right hand.

  16. I have a 8' Bass Raider and I take it out on Lake Waco, which is like 8,000 acres. As long as it is not too windy you will be fine. ;D
  17. The color is called Pearl/Chart Back offered by Bandit, you can see it here http://www.***.com/Bandit_Crankbaits/descpage-BCB.html I have contacted CCP and checked his website...I think I will be sending him my baits...very nice work. Plus his name is Cliff too! Thanks Cliff
  18. I am wondering what the cost is to have a few cranks painted? All would be the same color and in my opinion it is a pretty easy one to do, but I know nothing of painting, so maybe not. Bandit makes the color I want, but I want it on some of my non Bandit cranks. Any info on this will be much appreciated. Thanks Cliff P.S. About two or three years ago I sent about 65 misc cranks to a member here who said he would paint a bunch of them for me if he could keep the rest. Never heard from him again(wasn't a really big deal, the baits were found in the trash), so plese don't offer unless your gonna send my baits back to me!!
  19. I can only speak for the Revo S. I have four and they are great. Hard to beat some of the deals you can find in the flea market here on BR. I like tacklewarehoue but I think for a new reel the price is pretty close to the same everywhere.
  20. Thats some good stuff. I will approach the lake differently next time. Thanks. Cliff
  21. The spinnerbait bite was on today. 25 fish caught between the four of us. Buddy got one around 5lbs and I got one around 3lbs. Here is a couple pics of the boys with their first bass of 2011. Thanks for lookin! Cliff
  22. http://www.pelicansport.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=28_25&products_id=76&osCsid=mqum8v873b2bf75jp2so8v8c12 There ya go, freakin expensive. If you can weld or know someone who can, I bet it would be a whole lot cheaper to go buy your own tubing and build it yourself.
  23. That rudder is very similar to mine, but I made mine out of scrap metal and about 10 minutes worth of welding at work. They are great, they make a world of difference especially on windy days.
  24. Nice!! Guess I was so excited about my funny joke I forgot to "proof read" my post! ;D
