I hear alot of the older guys at work call it "soda water" I grew up in NY and have always called it soda, but when ordering in a resturant I ask for what I want....mt.dew, coke, dr. pepper etc etc. My brother has lived in NW Ohio for many years now and he says "pop.:"
I am going to try to get an hour or two in the AM before the wind kicks me off the water. They were killin a t-rigged Rage Craw yesterday evening, hopefully they still are!
Well my crappy Academy didn't have a whole lot of choices for keel weighted hooks. They had Gammies and Owner Beast hooks but only in 1/8. The only thing they had heavier was Big Bite Baits hooks, I don't know anything about them so I went with the Owners and Gammies. I am gonna be fishing in pretty shallow water anyway so I think it will be fine. I generally use 1/8 tungston bullets anyway. That Owner Beast looks pretty awesome, it is a 4/0 hook but it seems huge, but fits in a Rage Craw perfectly. I will let y'all know how I make out!
Thanks for all the speedy replies!

Yeah I don't fish much weed or grass, almost exclusively flooded timber. I guess I will have to go to Academy and get some new hooks, and you know you can neve have enough packs of craws!! Thanks for the info y'all, I look forward to more!
I am sure this has been covered to some degree, I did a search but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.
I have been reading about people using a keel weighted hook for Rage Craws/Lobsters. I am wondering if you still flip/pitch it like you would with a standard t-rig? Is there a different method for working the bait when rigged like this? Also, has anyone tried this with other baits, like the Space Monkey or a beaver style bait? Any info will be much appreciated!!! Especially since the Rage bite is picking up round here!
Thanks

I started using sunscreen religiously last year. After being burnt to the point of blisters many many times since I was a teenager. I haven't been burnt once since the beginning of last year. The stuff works!! Use it! I recommend Coppertone Sport SPF 50.
Same for me. As for pliers, I just hand the baits and hooks to my wife and she swaps them for me. Her nails work well apparently. Then I take the new stock hooks and replace any worn hooks I may have or use them on baits I don't use regulalry.
I agree with the above. One of mine though is knots left on hooks/lures. I go through my box every couple weeks or so and cut off any knots I may have left. My old boss used to throw his bait with like three or four old knots on it with about three inch tag ends hanging off it. Drove me crazy!!
When I lived in MN I caught a 36" Muskie one light tackle and 6lb mono. It ate a 10" walleye that I was reeling in. At one point it let go, came back and when I landed it it had my little 1/8 jighead stuck right in the corner of its mouth. The poor walleye was a mess. I was fishing from the bank and by the time I finally landed it everyone else who was fishing the area had surrounded me to what the heck I was catching. It was great fun.
These rods are great! I have four of them, 703C, 704C, 734C, and 7116C. They have served me well for about a year now. The 703C ML is my favorite, the 704C and 734C make excellent worm rods in my opinion. I use the 704 for t-rigs and the 734 for weightless stuff.
Thanks for all the replies. It seems that non of these rules exist in my league, even at coach pitch level, as long as the ball is in play you can run as far as possible until the kid playing pitchers mound has the ball on the mound. We saw one kid get a home run from a walk. He went to first and just kept going, due to errors on our part he made it home. Either way my team is having fun and improving each time out. If at the end of the season they tell me they had fun and want to do it again next year, then I feel I did my job.

Wicked awsome...again!! You should put together a video/slideshow of all these hawgs. I would watch it before each trip for motivation! Nice job man.

I wear my work jeans a day or two, depending on how dirty I get. If I am just hanging around the house or go out to eat or something, I will wear them a few times. After fishing, it usually depends on how much Megastrike and/or fish slime I wipe on them.
