@BassinBrett i haven't used that blank, but from what I've heard, and it's ratings compared to the 4.0SK I don't think it would be comfortable to cast. That square bill is almost 1 oz. I might be wrong but I feel like that would cast kinda sloppy on that. A Lotta people like the MB765 Neo for big cranks. And like @BayouSlide said the AFPG Has a great reputation for that too

If it's a rod you know you literally can't replace, but a fresh set of guides on and enjoy my friend. Maybe it wasn't worth 50 bucks off the shelf, but all these years later it's priceless

Any tips on finding them with no electronics? Most phones have an option to "resize" your image, often about 60% works. My problem at about 80% of all the waters within about an hour, I feel like I have absolutely no starting point

Two on 2 rods at the same time sounds like a blast, how'd you manage getting them in the boat? And I'm with you on small waters, big waters suck on a kayak without a motor. I just only have like 5/6 places within about a half hour, maybe if i expand the territory it'll help. Problem is getting out at like 8pm means I gotta fish till at least 1am so if I'm an hour away that's a long night. Less of an issue when I'm 20 minutes away. But maybe I'll do the same in Maine, I'll look farther away for small water opportunities, but then I'm also taking a risk for one of my few times to get out up there to maybe be fishing a big puddle that doesn't have fish in it. I've been caught casting into flooded ditches that absolutely don't have fish, but I just gotta double check haha

@bulldog1935 I really appreciate all the info, poking around it looks like they're priced a bit above my head, for just the grip/seat I can't swing that right now. Feel like my best bet is bumping into an old pistol grip speed stick at a garage sale or something. I'd rather not a pistol grip, but beggers and be choosers and I just like the idea of a recessed grip, it looks quite ergonomic.

Necessary is my point, now you're informed. I've shared my experiences and knowledge and you can make a more informed decision. Of course we take all reviews with a grain of salt, you could have a great experience with any of those companies. But I share why I recommend avoiding them, and then you go with them anyway and have a bad experience, it could've been avoided. Plus being quiet about our experience just empowers the companies to abuse their position over the consumer. I tried writing a review of a product on one of those vendors websites and they kept deleting it, it was an honest review about my experience and they hid it from the public. That is deceptive and dishonorable, and you would never be warned if I kept it to myself. I don't just write companies off because of one minor inconvenience, I don't put companies on blast for no good reason. I often give second chances, and the biggest thing is customer service. After I speak with a company and they double down on their deception or poor customer service, I'm comfortable sharing that with the public. My point is that the community needs to be able to have open and honesty discussions about their experiences with products or companies, because that's how we learn and grow and make better choices. And sometimes companies start to feel the backlash and they make changes to improve. I'm not just out here talkin trash, I'm trying to inform people and maybe make a company take a closer look at themselves

They also didn't make much effort to upgrade their system security. Kistler makes killer rods and has killer customer service American Tackle has some shady business practices, but has some decent products. Also some junk products Harry' Diner has the most incredible steak bomb and home made onion rings I care about people more than a companies public facing reputation, especially if they don't serve the people they can deal with the honesty I put out about them.
