  1. Yeah the Outdoor channel is mostly hunting, which I don’t watch either. Same happened to us with cable. We bought a streaming box and now get hundreds of channels with no cable bill. Win, Win!
  2. Condolences on your loss. Our beloved frenchie is closing in on his final years and it is disheartening to even think about the loss. Keep the positive thoughts and memories close to your heart and she’ll never be forgotten. Rest easy Lola
  3. Check out Greg Blanachard on youtube. He’s an ambassador for Titan and uses most all the size models. He has several videos specifically on the 10.5 and 12.5
  4. I have the World Fishing Network and the have all the fishing shows on 24/7. Along with the Outdoor Channel fishing shows are always on.
  5. Propel’s pocket fisherman, bought it loved it, got laughed at for using it! Best glove box rod I owned. Helicopter lure, bought them, fished ‘em, never caught anything on ‘em. (Actually just watched a recent Roland show where he threatened to get one out and use it. I believe it was more of a tease to those who had bought into them) Dragon jig (probably a midwest build), a jig head with long flat rubber skirt with an even longer paddle tail which looked soooo good in the exhibition tank as it crawled across the bottom, but couldn’t catch a cold. Bud Erhardt fish’n stiks, loved the idea of the round wrapped guides turning the line from the top to the bottom of the eye. However the action on one was too soft and whippy and the other super stiff. The heavy does make a nice stripper trolling rod though with an Ambassador clicker reel on it. Come to find out they are popular in the walleye world, not so much a bass rods. Recently, the whole BFS craze. I bought in and got three complete setups for the river only to find the small spools s**k. Most small lures are just to light for moving water to have any feedback or feel. I can’t throw a 1/4 oz spinner without spooling all the line. I much prefer my 5’ 6” ultra light spinner setup for small work.
  6. Seems to be pretty typical in a lot of threads lately.
  7. The arm on my mount swings up and down making it easy to pull the transducer up in shallow water while seated. The arm is long enough to reach below boat level while still being above the waterline. In fact I oriented it parallel to the canoe so if sliding in the shallows and forget to lift it the arm will rotate up from bottom contact. Although the magnetic mount assembly is expensive your solution sounds like a good fit for your application. Post some photos of the completed project please!
  8. Opinions are like, well you know…………. I can see your day at the lake, hang’n with your blinged out pretty sticks!
  9. Bling don’t catch fish any better than stealth just like chrome don’t get you home
  10. I’ve posted my canoe story here on BR and after fishing from near every type of reasonable vessel I find my Sportspal to be the best fit yet. For me
  11. Glad to see another 3.3L owner, and a supercab at that!
  12. Anytime someone comments on my spending habits I always reply, gotta have priorities.
  13. @The Rooster Awesome setup, and I love fishing pups!
  14. These work great. I use one on my canoe for my transducer. They offer a non permanent mount capability and can be relocated to any position desired. A magnetic mount with an adjustable arm, and options for any length. Either a thru hull design, arm or track mount. This in particular should work.
  15. Welcome to the forum. Use the search function at top right and you can find some Information
  16. Super tuned Bantam “greenies” are all I use. Actually the Wife got me a Lews BB1 Pro for Christmas and returned it as it was very sticky, noisy and the spool had a bad wobble. Hence the reason for the “new” Curado cu201 purchase.
  17. My “new” Christmas present to myself today! Quality never gets old!

  19. Advice on the internet is just that,,,,,advice. Don’t take it personally as it’s hard to understand someone’s needs without knowing the background and destination of their goals.
  20. I was unfamiliar with them but found this particular box to cover quite the array of usefulness! I appreciated it tremendously.
  21. Two antidote I try to consider #1 by Hirotake Arai of Arai motorcycle helmets; “when on a motorcycle, dress for the accident not the ride” #2 by a DNR friend; “we never pull a drown victim out of the water wearing a PFD” Once again, education
  22. Simply……………..Education
  23. It was tough waiting but I managed! Only a vague return address on the package so I can only Thank Santa for the generous gift, Merry Fishmas!
