  1. You get your connectivity issue figured out?
  2. Got the kayak rigged and ready to roll and the bottom drops out, like 34* and snow flurries. Indiana ?
  3. I just pulled the trigger on the Yak Attack Cellblock & Switchblade arm arm with a lock-n-load mount for the Helix 7. Fishing the river as much as a lake it just made sense and because I remove the ff while transporting and it makes it a lot simpler, compact unit.
  4. Just bought a lithium MillerTech 75ah for my OT Autopilot. I was convinced by the ah availability, price and weight,,,20lbs!
  5. I carry a BassX 6’ two piece ML rod with a Curado SLX on it, 10lb braid and 8lb fluro leader. And a 5’4” GLoomis mag-light spinning rod with a Sedona 500 and same line set up. Also carry a sling “creek bag” for small box of lures and plastic’s. ALWAYS in the truck! If I could only carry one rig it would probably be similar to the Berkley Lighting rod and a 750/1000 size series reel like @Mobasser posted. A nice set up without the worry of being abused or mistreated. It helps I have a Decked drawer system with a dedicated drawer for fishing gear, rods, creek bag, waders, creek net and such. It’s like cheating.
  6. I’ve always been a Shimano guy but bought a Diawa BassX from a member here and really liked it sooooooo, just got a new Tatula 6’ 10” MXF Spinning rod for exactly the same thing, river smallies! I too am a sucker for cork handles. However I was dissatisfied with the very small, tiny, hook keeper, almost useless. And was really surprised by the micro guides on it too. However it is a very nice rod.
  7. Have no idea why it “quoted” four times!
  8. I’ve got the same board with the ember (orange) Autopilot 120 ?
  9. This weekend! Fishing Show Hendrix County Fairgrounds Fishing Show
  10. If I don’t use it I dispose of it. I’m not a collector at all!
  11. I would add being covered is a draw for critters, especially mice!
  12. Kinda reminds me of this sound
  13. Was finally proud of the Lions
  14. He’s really sad the Cowboys lost!
  15. Yeah, it has taken a while but all systems are go and waiting for Spring,,,,,,,, with a little more appreciation!
  16. Just saw your post on FB. Sounds kinda like my heart deal; shovel snow, don’t feel well, see doctor next day, sent to the hospital for stents, stents won’t work so following day quadruple bypass! Yeah, fun. It comes as a surprise doesn’t it?!! Thankfully you’re doing well and got the yak sorted. Really like the new additions. Have fun, be safe
  17. Good but not an “all time” great. Now Hateful Eight, thats another conversation!
  18. I fish all braid with leader if necessary but have seen many pros/club anglers use Sunline lines. If I went to a non braid line I would definitely try out Sunline products.
  19. What would suk is if you were 2/3 into filling your reel spool.
  20. Wouldn’t know a Coelacanth if he caught one!
  21. I have terrible sinus problems in the winter and have a bed side vaporizer I run at night. Additionally and most importantly I rub Vicks inside my nose to help keep it moist and the mentholatum vapor relives congestion. That was the whole idea as a kid having it rubbed on your chest, being able to inhale the mentholatum vapors to improve breathing when stuffed up. It’s just Vasoline petroleum jelly with menthol additives. But it works!
  22. There’s no reason you can’t repaint it. Although the plastic parts; head, bottom cover, shaft collar etc, are impregnated color (formed with a white pigment) and should be painted with a “plastic friendly “ product such as Krylon Fusion. The metal parts, just spray with a product like Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy paint, several coats each and should be good to go. In the prep on the metal parts I would start with a GREEN scothbrite pad then 220 grit if needed (doubtful). Remember, just a light smooth scuff of the factory finish is all that is needed, clean well with acetone and paint. The plastic I would just use a RED scothbrite pad (or green if needed) clean with a 80% water-20% isopropyl alcohol and a drop of dawn dish soap solution, drying throughly. All your trying to do is create a textured surface, dulling the factory shine, for the new paint to adhere to so watch too aggressive sanding. I’ve painted many similar exterior component products without any issues (but nothing submersible for extended time as a trolling motor would be). However after extended use at worse you'd have to touch up, no big deal. Take your time, GOOD PREP IS IMPERATIVE and give plenty of drying time.
