  1. Welcome to BR!
  2. The first time, I was flipping in some pretty thick brush and not catching much. I was using a Chigger Chunk, and for some reason the claws kept hanging on the branches, so I just took the trailer off and kept going. Anyway, I started catching fish. Today, I tied on a white swim jig and then realized I didn't have any white trailers. I tried a black one for a while with no luck. I decided to try it without a trailer, and I immediately started catching fish.

  9. This is the average strength of schedule ranking for some of the major players in college football in the past decade. I took the Saragan SOS rankings from 2002 - 2009, added them together and divided by eight. 2010 is not out, and I'm not sure if it even existed prior to 2002. The number you see is the average SOS ranking over the eight year period. I've also included each of their top two SOS rankings as well as their worst. The number of FBS teams varies, but is roughly 120 every year. TEAM AVE SOS STRONGEST SOS WEAK SOS USC 12.62 #1 2002, #2 2006 #29 2007 Florida 17.875 #3 2007, #4 2009 #57 2004 Oklahoma 22.625 #1 2005, #7 2008 #44 2007 LSU 28.25 #5 2009, #11 2007 #50 2005 Alabama 30 #2 2008, #3 2003 #73 2004 Texas 33.5 #13 2005, #14 2009 #47 2003 Ohio State 33.62 #2 2005, #15 2003 #53 2007 The answer to your next question is "yes, I am bored."
  10. Are you kidding me, Bro?!?! That's what started this whole argument. I said that Les Miles was one of only two head coaches to beat Stoops in Norman, and you replied with "invite some good teams." WOW!
  11. Does anyone else ever fish jigs without a trailer? I don't know if it's the different profile or the faster rate of fall or what, but I seem to be catching more fish this year without a trailer than I do with a trailer.
  12. x2, yes they are. x3 I got one the year I joined the Army (1997), and I used it until 2008. I gave it to a buddy who was in need of a spinning reel, and it is still in use.
  13. Yes, JMU does schedule FBS opponents, but those are road games. What would JMU's home win percentage look like if Virginia Tech came to them?
  14. We're not talking about Big XII teams. We're talking about one Big XII team. I'm still waiting for you to reveal which team you like so we can examine their schedule. You're right. Miami, who finished last season ranked #19 and BYU who finished #12, really sucked!
  15. Yeah, but Gran Torino also had some comedic value.
  16. I know a way that you can get great insurance for you and your family with absolutely no premiums. All you have to do is raise your right hand and repeat after me...
  17. Those are two excellent movies, but I liked Gran Torino better. I didn't like they way No Country For Old Men ended.
  18. *cough*invite some good teams*cough* Here is a sampling of the non-conference teams that have been invited to play in Norman during the Stoops era: 2002 Alabama 2003 UCLA 2004 Oregon 2005 TCU 2007 Miami 2008 Cincinnati 2008 TCU 2010 Florida State 2012 Notre Dame 2014 Tennessee 2016 Ohio State You can say what you like about the Big XII, but year in and year out Oklahoma plays one of the toughest schedules in college football. They do it in part by scheduling tough non-conference opponents. Sometimes it comes back to haunt them. 2009 is a perfect example. After losing Jermaine Gresham before the season and Sam Bradford in the first half of the first game, they went on to lose to four ranked teams (BYU, Miami, Texas, Nebraska) by a total of twelve points. Other years it works to their advantage. In 2004, for example, Auburn went undefeated in the mighty SEC, but ended up watching the National Championship Game on TV. What was the deciding factor that year? Strength of schedule. So tell me sir, who has your team invited to play in their stadium?
  19. I am no Les Miles fan, but I will say this, he's one of only two head coaches to ever beat Bob Stoops' Sooners in Norman.
  20. I thought this was interesting. http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/futures/
  21. Okay, I was a little surprised when SmokeRise1 said he'd never ordered pizza, but how in the world do you manage to go so long without stepping foot in a Wal-Mart?
