Continue to add an ounce or two each time you tell the story, and by this time next year, she'll be a nine pounder! Not only is this an accepted practice, but it's actually necessary. Over the years, so many people have added weight to their catch that it has become expected. If you told the truth and said "I caught a 6.75 lb bass", most fishermen would naturally assume that the fish really weighed 6 lbs even. One word of advice though, when adding weight to your catch, never take pictures!
P.S. I'm just messin' with you, Bro. Nice catch!
