Excellent point! I sprained my right ankle in Iraq, and I never had it looked at. I didn't have the luxury of taking a day or two off, and I wasn't about to send my Soldiers into sector while I stayed back, so I sucked it up and drove on. We were spending five or six hours a day doing foot patrols and wearing a ton of gear, and it took weeks for the swelling to go down. Nowadays, I get pains in my ankle almost everyday, and sometimes it hurts just to stand. Take care of your body. You'll have to live with it long after your lacrosse playing days are over.
