  1. I don't think I've ever had it.
  2. Rowyourboat, I think you'll be happy with the Z7. I have a 2008 Z6 which is basically the same thing as the Z7 only smaller (17'9") and it suits me just fine around here. It is a very stable and smooth riding boat for it's size. I did get caught in some sudden, strong winds when I was living in Texas, and that made getting back to the ramp a little more exciting. But on these smaller West Virginia lakes, I don't have any worries. I also don't feel any need for a bigger boat. If WV is where you do most of your fishing, the Z7 should be just about perfect.
  3. X2 It seems like 3/4 of the magazine is advertisements.
  4. This is what I do.
  5. They're not discontinued. They just changed the handle and added micro guides since last year. The handles are now the same as the Helium LTA except with regular cork instead of the marbled cork. I don't know why they haven't updated the pictures. I picked one up because I wanted to try out the micro guides without spending a fortune. It has a good feel and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a rod in the $80 price range.
  6. I've use Ande line one time in my life, but it just happened to be the day I caught my biggest fish. 30# Ande line landed me an 89# spoonbill (paddlefish) when I was 22 years old. I only fish freshwater, so I'm sure I'll never break that personal record.
  7. I don't have a 2010 Premier, but I have a 2009. I know that they're not exactly the same reel, but I like it better than the Curado.

  9. I did notice the Bass Resource ad in the back.
  10. I picked one up a Gander Mountain the other day. It was the first time I'd ever seen it. It made decent toilet reading material, but I won't be subscribing.
  11. Be sure to add a few Shad Raps to your collection. I like the balsa SR7s the best.
  12. What insurance company are you using for your boat, and why did you choose them? It's almost time for me to renew my insurance, and I'm just curious about what else is out there.
  13. Excellent point! I sprained my right ankle in Iraq, and I never had it looked at. I didn't have the luxury of taking a day or two off, and I wasn't about to send my Soldiers into sector while I stayed back, so I sucked it up and drove on. We were spending five or six hours a day doing foot patrols and wearing a ton of gear, and it took weeks for the swelling to go down. Nowadays, I get pains in my ankle almost everyday, and sometimes it hurts just to stand. Take care of your body. You'll have to live with it long after your lacrosse playing days are over.

    new gun

Out of curiosity, is that short barrel legal?
  15. How do you prepare physically for a long tournament? Exercises, nutrition, etc...
  16. Of the two choices you gave, I'd pick "sick gill", but it looks more like "morning after" to me.
  17. Nicotine gum did the trick for me. I smoked and dipped for nearly 20 years, but I've been tobacco free for since March 2009.
  18. Man, I bought some of those Frenzy hard baits back when they first came out, and I don't think I ever caught a fish on one.
  19. I haven't tried Stubb's BBQ sauce, but the steak and chicken marinade is awesome.
  20. It was just a thought. I belong to a gun dog forum that has a live chat. I don't think it's moderated, but I've never seen it get vulgar.
  21. Why doesn't Bass Resource have a live chat room? With as many people as we have logged on here at any given time, I'm sure it would be a popular feature.
  22. I do too! They used to make a 6" craw worm (I don't remember what it was called) that I loved.
  23. The Black Max does have a flippin' switch. The Diawa Viento that JimmyMo3287 recommended has a twitchin' bar.
