  7. X2! I haven't tried the Windtamer or XS, but 40G is good stuff!
  8. Really? That has definitely not been the case in my experience!

  12. I did my taxes yesterday. No stimulus for me. I'm paying in a small fortune. Luckily, I just received some back pay that I've been waiting on since September, so it didn't put me in a bind, but the bait monkey will have to wait.
  13. Has anybody here used this blank? How did it perform with DD22s and similar crankbaits?
  14. I have limited experience with Fluoroclear. I've used the 4lb on spinning gear for trout fishing, and it performed well.
  15. I hit the Bass Pro Shops in Broken Arrow, OK when the doors opened this morning. Those Carbonlite combos were going fast!
  16. If you don't find someone to take you fishing, you might consider driving an hour to the west to fish Roaring River. Tackle requirements are minimal, and you certainly won't need a guide. I take my family there once or twice a year. https://mostateparks.com/park/roaring-river-state-park
  17. I was just about to ask where you had your camera mounted!
  18. I had never heard of line butter. I use KVD line and lure.
  19. Reel Butter is grease, not line conditioner. Who's putting it on their line?
  20. No milk for me. I soak my fish in salt water.
  21. I would not buy a Force for that very reason. I worked in a boat dealership for about a year right after I retired from the Army, and we were constantly breaking people's hearts by telling them that we couldn't get the parts they needed.
  22. I've seen people do it. I always thought it was kind of silly. The only thing I use a swivel for is a Carolina rig.

  25. Spinnerbaits are one of my favorites baits to fish. In over 35 years of bass fishing, I've used countless brands, and I can't remember ever having a wire break. I've had them get pretty mangled and bent so badly that there was no fixing them, but I've never actually broken one. You might give Stanley spinnerbaits a try. They use a tapered wire that provides both vibration and durability.
