Man that's freaking awesome brother! Getting to see the Braves VS Mets is special enough, but to get the stache on the mound, luckeeeeeeeeeeeeee ? Here's to the weather holding up, if it does that will get for the Braves as it will likely keep the ball in the park better. I want to see the stache get a no hitter, you know it's coming.

Everybody has Chad Shad but me ? Other than a few complain about the paints not matching the pics, and sink rate, people seem really happy with them. I'll get one in time I'm sure. Awesome you got one, and already producing with it.

I pulled about 30yds out two days ago on a stupid looking T-Rig setup. It's the Crappie folks that are the bad offenders on my homelake though....they get their line stuck and they just break it off.

People want to know how hard Bass fishing is, an elite angler with a camera takes over half the day to catch a single keeper on a legendary Bass lake. It's the most humbling sport I can imagine. He just caught that fish on an Alpha Angler Wrench, got one of those and it lives up to its name.

This weeks, and last week's visit to the monkey shop. Bought the C Rigs for components after thinking better about the pre rigged ones, stupid lol. Going through these D Bombs like water, only get about 5 fish on them, but they're magical and worth it.

Awesome thread Katie, and I love both of those goals of yours. For me it's the same goal I set in Aug' 22 when I started back fishing....catch a DD on my childhood and current homelake. I've had tunnel vision on this goal since about September, it consumes all of my free time, I go to bed literally every single night thinking about this fish. It feels so good to pursue a goal as hard as you can, I sure hope I can achieve my lifelong dream, but if I can't the journey up until has been amazing. Fishing has always been about goals for me, and I imagine many/most other anglers.....there is few things in life that taste as sweet as when you realize a goal you worked really hard for. At the core of the narcotic feeling of Bass fishing is this goal/work/achieve deal imho. I'm going to cry if I catch the white whale, or at least I really hope I do. 100% in the Fall, it's like cheating below those dams. Just epic fishing. It's gonna happen with you, you got big fish mojo seriously. Certain folks just catch bigger fish, maybe they fish slower, fish differently, whatever it is, some folks consistently catch big fish compared to their peers. I'd put you in this group. That's 100% happening Bob, and I can't wait for the pics! The electronics is an excellent goal, especially considering you got a scope. That very well could lead to your number 1 goal being achieved. This is the year of the 7lb Bass in Yank land......both you and @T-Billy are getting that 7+. You are too honest, there is no way I'm calling a 9-13 a 9-13......I'd put her in the livewell with a dozen threadfins if I had too ?

Thread is back to being fully great again, a few folks in MN and perhaps other places that have a closed season still need to join the party though. It's that wet cold that gets me, having your hands constantly freezing will sap the life out of you. Always comes back to putting in that work in my book, the great anglers just deal with it. Your whole fishing style is backboned by fishing in places 99% of other folks wouldn't. Big reason why I think one of these days you're going to catch a fish that blows everybody's mind. You and Phishli work hard for your fish ?

second this, high quality 15lb fluoro is really strong, I like the Sniper too, and if I can deal with a thicker diameter, I think the P Line Ulitmate Fluoro is even stronger. With mono you're going to get more stretch than you want with those techniques. Braid is an option, but that's not my lane.

Too cold and wet for me, maybe when I grow up I'll be as tough as you ? Nice fish though, a 4lber is a win every day in my book. You already seem to be catching bigger fish this year. Excited to see what mid day or afternoon brings you, there is just something about the middle of the day and big fish. The vast majority of my fishing is done in the middle of the day, and nights during the summer. I do wish I would fish some first light mornings right now to understand the Shad spawn.

That can't be answered unless we know what baits you intend to throw. Mono for moving baits like cranks, fluoro for so many things in my book, amrillo which is really hi end mono so I'd reserve it for special applications like big swimbaits, deep cranking. Really you need to define more parameters. Rod, lures, things of that nature.

Those Channels are escape artists, and as always I love the redneck ingenuity....who needs a rod holder when you got rocks ?

First 15 minute curse got me for the most part, but didn't even care. Caught the biggest one yet on the D Bomb, a 6.12. Right before it caught a nice 3lb class. No more emotions, but 2 fish in terrible conditions is solid in my book, most wouldn't have wet a line. Great job!

Tearing out/preventing vegetation on a public lake, putting out lure snaggers on public lakes......yeah this is why cats and dogs are generally much better than humans ?

Back in the day these were like the JDM baits now......incredible finishes, super sticky hooks, just top of the line baits. The Bill Dance Fat Free Shad in the suspending and floating models are big fish magnets, the Spit N Image is still one of my favorite big fish topwaters. I'm pretty sure they were under Bomber back then.

How big of gap is there between the Zillion SV and the Alpha and Tat SVs? The Zillion SV TW is perfection in my book. Owning one is almost as bad as owning none, they spoil you rotten.

Now to figure out which ones are for dinner ?? Nice one! Just watch Tactical Bassin and Ben Milliken, between those two you'll gain a wealth of info.

We need critter bingo cards ? Days like that I chalk up to "putting in that work", those are the days that you have to endure in order to get such amazing highs when they are biting, and the conditions are beautiful. Might have been only one, but it's beautiful ?

My point is that you had to use an early Feb. weight total to finally get something over on Ben's amazing victory that he scored during mid April when many fish were post spawn. If you can't see how comparing pre spawn to post spawn fish is apples and oranges, then I got nothing. No use in arguing this anymore, both of our opinions are on the record in this thread.....if he bombs, you'll be right, if he makes the elite and keeps hammering them I'll be right.
