LOL.....I can't be the only one that hates putting on new baits, and then putting baits back into storage, can I???? If I'm changing lots of baits, I'm having a bad day. As a kid I remember throwing literally everything in the tacklebox ? I mean I want to be like you, but I also think you need to seek help immediately ?

Never fished it personally, but always heard it was a bigger Crappie lake than Bass lake. A guy like you would crush it on the Coosa River impoundments down here in central AL.

Haha, I wish I smuggled all those Guntersville hogs ? We're blessed in terms of Bass fishing in Alabama, not the best state, but I'd say it's in the top 5 easily. Alabama has also contributed heavily to Bass fishing history, and where it's currently at today. We are likely close in age then, I grew up dreaming of that lake, reading everything I could about it in the Bass rags. It's tragic, but I'm far from surprised given where those once magical lakes are located. That state has a tragic history of handling it's natural resources, including modern day.

Lol, I wanted to grab that color at TW with my recent order....no bueno, my local shop today, no bueno. Anyways I've done some trial and error with trailers, and unlike bigger ones, these are very temperamental to get on plane if you are using something longer than 3" I've found, and if it has a strong action like most paddletails, that equally messes up the action I've found. The Armor Shad 3" is dynamite I've found. Won't look like much, but that's the mission with these after all. Big fish will still blow up such a tiny bait. I really respect the folks who chase largemouth up north, it really is all relative to your region and the records. A 5lb LGM in many states is equivalent to me catching a 10lb in Alabama. Both require the same skillset, luck, and preparation on the angler's part.

Fished for about 2 hours in between two big storm cells before dinner......took just one rod, and fanny pack with a few chatterbaits. Caught 5....4-1 LGM for a change, all on the MiniMax in Gizzard Shad 3/8th model. Played around with different trailers on this MiniMax, and it's very temperamental to having the proper trailer. It doesn't like anything bigger than 3", and doesn't like a heavy action trailer. Both interfere with it's ability to quickly get back on plane if you wanna call it. Armor Shads were built for these MiniMax models it seems. The most gorgeous tree on this entire lake, absolutely stunning in color

One could make the case Alabama got the best part of that fishless river ? Then again Alabama could have bought the entire panhandle for $1mil in the early 1900s ?

That's incredible, what a fishery that could produce such a bag. Only had one day that could have matched that, and it was with former Bassmaster Classic runner up, Dalton Bobo on Lay Lake.

That's very cool, and I really liked Ian......if he just could have started games in the second inning instead of the first. Admittedly it took some maturation on my part to see the beauty of baseball, and develop a love for the Braves. I've been a heavy fan for 5 or 6 years, but before that had little interest. Ironically now I don't really have any interest in other sports outside of boxing or MMA. It's so nice having a Braves game to look forward to during the summer months especially.

Haha, just bought another 3 MiniMaxs after lunch. The 3/8th in Gizzard Shad has been killing it for me with the fall turnover and threadfin size. One of more under the radar baits for sure. It sells big time though so people just aren't talking about it openly. These are just dynamite baits. The snap needs to be changed on them, as they still pull the big fish like their bigger counterparts.

They really screwed us yesterday with the noon game.....that's the Braves kryptonite this year it seems. This is advantageous for the Braves.

Awesome job Katie loved reading your report! That's exactly what a guy from Alabama imagines Maine looking like. 35 Bass is a ton of fish, that's like a week worth of fishing for me.

I suspect the game is going to be significantly delayed. When it rains where I'm at, ATL is almost always right behind, and radar confirms it. I almost hope they start the game, then it pours enough for the starters to get pulled, and it becomes a bullpen game. We excel in those, and it burns the Philles ace for the series.
