If it's got good Bass fishing, that's all that matters to me. Goals, location, and size of fish are considerations as well. Luckily my home lake meets all three of those and makes life easy for me in that regard.

Not 55, but this exact same scenario thread comes up often in a General Discussion part of a much bigger forum I participate in. The overwhelming opinion from men that were in your spot was to cut bait and find happiness. Kids are gone, you did the noble thing. Now it's time for you to be a little more selfish and look after your own happiness and mental health. Only you know how much you want to remain with your wife, but if you feel in your heart the love is gone, and you aren't happy.....you don't have to keep living that life. Never too late to start over either. Maybe she feels the same way, and you guys can work something out where you won't get destroyed and you guys can remain friends.

I ordered the last day of the sale, and mine just shipped out yesterday. This is my fourth order from them, two from sales......both times from the sale it took about two weeks to get the package. Digitaka they are not ? eta: Sign in to your account.....go to order history. Click on most recent order, then click on track shipment. It will tell you the day it's expected to ship by/late day. If something is OOS, they'll ship the rest of your order normally, and when the item that was backordered comes in, they'll ship that out for free at that time. I had a product backordered so I looked into this.

People generally suck as a rule of law. People generally let you down as a rule of law. These are things that become truer and truer the older I get. That guy will have to answer to the universe, likely in a road rage incident to a person who has nothing to lose. Florida after all has a stand your ground law, and those type of hot heads usually push the wrong guy. My childhood best friend's dad, and former NHL hockey player was shot in the lung point blank range over a parking space....and sadly he earned it. He beat on another person's window over a parking place on XMAS eve with his kids/wife in the car at the mall. He tried to scare the wrong guy that morning, luckily, he lived.

I mean this as the highest praise, but you are one of the ultra-minority of women who are able to become "one of the boys". I've been blessed to be friends with one other woman that was like this, we met through a gun forum, in the rowdy section of it as well.......me and hundreds of other members called her "dude", "man", etc. countless times until we realized she was a woman. Similar to how it was when I first started posting in the Latest Catch thread. She sadly passed about a year ago, but you guys would have gotten along famously. I only point this out because of the irony of a wonderful female writer doing articles for "Men's Journal".......that proves my point in itself ? Look forward to reading them!

I don't know about Squatch, but I have no doubt there are animals in the Glades that humans have no idea about. Think about all the stuff that could hide there and never be found. Similar to the Amazon. It's all but impossible to escape Man's long reach when trying to find solitude, but there are some animals better equipped to do it.

That's what I mean, now they can potentially make 8 or 12 of them "meaningful" again.

Since the playoffs have started, I can't remember a year when I thought more than 2 had a realistic shot at it. I think expanding it will just water it down and allow more revenue to stream in to rejuvenate the Bowl system. It will be about revenue, not an enhanced product.

I find it funny folks think it should be expanded.....there is one National Championship level team every year, this year it's UGA that will run away with it. If you can't find 3 other teams that are as competitive as the UGA or Bama every year, you certainly shouldn't expand it. This year it's really bad in regard to the 1 seed vs all the others. Outside of the fans of the other three, everybody in America knows UGA will run away with it. Silly worrying over who will be first loser. No doubt, Alabama today would waste those two, but who really cares as long as they all will be crushed by UGA.

Having the patience to pause to let that bait work it's magic is the most important part for my method. A good large suspending jerkbait should have strong drawing power imo. Thusly you should vary your pause times until you home in on the one that allows fish to come in, but not over analyze your bait. They hit for me right when I start that fresh jerk, but again I think the pause length played a larger role in getting the fish to strike then the cadence or strength of the jerk I make. In cold water, a baitfish if felt unthreatened would remain perfectly suspended to conserve energy......the mechanism by which a jerkbait is working, is that it's tricking the Bass into thinking it's been "discovered", and thusly darts frantically side to side to evade the predator....this in return triggers the ultimate reactionary strike that makes Jerkbaits so effective even on sluggish cold fish. I think giving that fish enough time to see it perfectly suspended and sitting still is integral to the process. That's the process in which the most trial and error time should be used again imo. Do they want it paused for 5 secs, how about 10 secs....do I have the patience to hold this thing for 20secs?

Nice, you can really see both sides of the DNA spectrum on that meanmouth. His body looks far more Spot like, while his mouth region and markings look SMB. Do you find they fight like a Spot?

I adjusted both of my new Daiwas a little out of the box, then never touched the dial again. From that moment on I haven't had a backlash on either. Heck I hardly even have to mess with the brakes. You really can't stress how brilliant this design is, and how much time it saves by never having to tweak your reel.

I used mine for a little while to throw A-Rigs and 5-6" bigger swimbaits. Worked just fine. In an ideal world I would step up to the Zillion TW HD, or Tatula 200/300

BamaBass on youtube has documented an extensive history raising Bass and Bream in various sized tanks. They will indeed jump out of the tank. He truly has "pet" Bass, one even got into the pounds, and now has a transmitter in it and is swimming in a 5 acre lake. It's extremely hard to keep a Bass alive in an aquarium.

Edited...should have scrolled up to see the RC bait boat. Those things are so cool. You need a GoPro, get a big Shark on film, that would be cool.

Nice, last night's rain was incredible. My lake rose several feet, and changed the water color bigly. Excited now that I have all these new areas to fish with submerged stuff I remember.
