  4. I never really have too much luck with spinner baits, but of course i would like too. I need help with matching the color to the water clarity, if that matters. Also any techniques you would like to share would be appriciated. Thanks, Steve
  5. I do a little bit of common carp fishing up here in NJ but i guess the two would be similar. My bait of choice is chick peas boiled in water and honey. I used to belong to a carp fishing club so here's the like to their website http://www.carpanglersgroup.com/ they have their own forum as well. Hope everything works out steve
  6. I had the same problem with my jon boat. What you need is to get some paint stripper, fine steel wool, a drop cloth or a tarp, some chemical resistant gloves, and a paint scraper. Paint remover is so nasty stuff so you'll want to work outside. Also, use the tarp to keep the paint remover off of your porch or wherever you're working. You want to apply thick coats of it on the paint using an old paintbrush. Wait about half an hour until you can see the paint loosening and scrape it off with the paint scraper. After that you need to rub off the thin layer of paint left with very fine steel wool. It's a long process but it gets the job done.
  7. Around my area their are several creeks and lakes that hold Tiger Muskie. Although I have never fished for any type of Muskie, I am interested in catching Tigers. If anyone has info about Tiger Muskie fishing, please let me know. Thanks steve
  8. Hey I have a 12ft. alumnium jon boat and I'm debating whether I should add a casting deck and marine carpeting. Not really sure if it's worth it or not and I'm just wondering what some of you think?
  9. Hey I just joined and I'm looking to improve my bass fishing. I live close to several small ponds. One (its behind a CVS) has plenty of bass and bluegill and is only about 90 yards long. I've tried spinner baits as well as top water lures but have had no luck. Any ideas on how to catch bass here. The two other lakes are a bit larger but the water is very dark and murky. I never have much luck here either, but I have caught bass their. Any tips? Thanks, Steve
