Thank you for the replies. The Avid series rods have been the best bang for the buck IMHO for the last 10 years or so. Bummer that they discontinued them.

Good Morning All, I have been a long fan of the St. Croix AVC70MHF as my go to casting rod for pretty much all applications. It is a little heavier action than most Medium Heavy rods that I have tried. Unfortunately, finding one anymore has become almost impossible. However, there seems to be plenty of the St. Croix AVS70MHF spinning rods available. Does anybody know if the spinning blanks are the same as the casting blanks? Thanks for any info that you can provide. Brad J. Morris
