First off I'm new to this forum. As you can see this is my first post. I have been fishing LM for over 30 years. About 12 years ago we put our first pond in. It's 5 acres the deepest point is 14'. I have studied pond mangement for the last 11 years and with the help of the state of MO I can honestly say that you can grow huge bass from small bodies of water. The LM state record in MO is almost 13 pounds. The largest bass I have taken from our pond is 11.5 pounds. If the bass in your small pond are only growning to 10-15" you have way to many. As a rule of thumb one should remove 20-25 smaller bass for every acre of land mass in water per year.
