  1. Picking up this line. Really digging It. Is there any other colored fluoro lines out there? I’ve always just bought Invisx.
  2. Sounds like a no one that rod. Lol. I’ve decided I want this rod for weightless flukes, light belly weighted flukes, weightless senkos, and possibly light under spins with like 3.8”-4” keitechs. Here’s my list right now. Dobyns Champ Extreme 743 or 703 (would jump on the chance to find an old chameleon colored model) Kistler KLX 7’ MH Possibly St Croix Legend Tournament All In Didn’t really see a Levante that I think would fit what I want. Daiwa Tat Elite is a possibility.
  3. Anyone had a 2 power Dobyns Champion?
  4. Know anything about the St Croix Legend tournament bass. “All In” looks good.
  5. Yes it’s driving me crazy trying to decide! Really hard to pass up a Dobyns DX 742 or 743c for almost $100 off. There’s an Ark limited edition on TW right now. Regular $249 can be had for $170. I really want a pretty rod for this reel. Not just your standard reel seat nut, etc. My problem is that I know I’m going to end up with a duplicate of something I already have. Technique wise
  6. Disregard this. Found 300m spools on digitaka. I might do the 82 yard spool anyway and use backing. No way I can cast 82 yards.
  7. Looked up the line. I could only find It in 82 yards. Did that fill your spool?
  8. Where did you buy the extra stuff? Have a jdm zillion on the way and would love to do something similar. Beautiful reel
  9. Whoa just looked these up. Amazing rods I’m sure but Im probably going to stick to <$300. Probably Levante or Dobyns champions (I get 30% off dobyns). Maybe a Tat Elite with AGS.
  10. My team Lews hyper mag is super light.
  11. What’s the weight of the daiwa Tatula 70 SV?
  12. It looks great. I’ll check It out. How would that rod fish flukes with light weight twist lock hooks?
  13. Really nice! What do you fish with this combo? What line is that?
  14. I actually already have the Seth Feider ML jerkbait rod that MIGHT work for that application. Might be too light on power though. Not sure.
  15. I was reading up on another forum about the Brent Erhler M-MH XF finesse rod. Might be good for shakey heads and 3/32 twistlocks and fluke/caffeine Shad. They are out of stock on TW though.
  16. I really like throwing jackhammers. Probably my favorite lure. Thinking maybe a Dobyns Champion 734c or Megabass Levante Diablo Spec-R and running 30lb braid. Something I could throw spinnerbaits and maybe 1/4 to 1/2oz jig head with paddle tails. Never even seen a Megabass rod in person though. I DO NOT like glass or real bendy Chatterbait rods fyi. What y’all think?
  17. Just funny that 6.3 was blistering then and max drag about 6. Now we have 10gear reels and 20lb max drag.
  18. I thought the gear ratio part of the article was funny…. During our field tests we hooked into a number of bass that proceeded to run towards the boat. The Fuego made it easy to keep up with these sprinters and made up the line deficit quickly, allowing us to maintain tension on the fish. The reel features a blistering fast 6.3:1 gear ratio which matches the ultra fast supertuned Team Daiwa Advantage. Because the reel was so quick it is ideal for burning spinners or cranking jerkbaits, but we had to constantly remind ourselves to slow it down when slow crawling plastics. Article also says about 6lbs of max drag. Crazy that most of my reels are 12-20max now.
  19. Just ordered one in 7.1
  20. Choose your top colors by what you think looks cool.
  21. You didn’t retrieve the fish and keep It to clean? That’s illegal here.
  22. What’s your favorite rod for It? I don’t need It, I’m pretty sure I have most techniques covered with what I currently own, but I still want one.
  23. Green sunfish are crazy.
  24. I own two of these and until this thread always thought they were Arid-X.
