  1. That’s exactly what It would be for.
  2. Dobyns for law enforcement/military.
  3. Is a $160 Ikos worth It over a $90 fury or $126 Sierra?
  4. Is the only difference in the two promises the length?
  5. I had a dx745 for big t-rigs that wasn’t powerful enough for me so I stepped up to 746. Can’t imagine the 744.
  6. Which alx ikos? Reason for no lowrider or mojo Is I have both of those already and I want him to have something different that’s just his.
  7. Sorry. I left some information out. Here are his current setups: Light TopWater/Popping/wacky senko: Original Daiwa Fuego, Falcon Bucoo “Herm” 6’6” MH moderate fast Horny Toads/Buzz Baits/bigger top water: Daiwa Fuego CT 8.1, Daiwa Tatula XT MHF
  8. Any suggestions? It’s possible! Dobyns gives a pretty good discount. Maybe a Kaden 714c?
  9. My son turns 13 in September and I’m getting him a new rod. Looking for a kind of jack of all trades rod for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, paddletail swimbaits (like a B5 or largo Shad), etc. Planned to get him a Dobyns Fury 734c but thought what the heck, let’s see what others say on my favorite forum. Any other suggestions in that price range? FYI, he already has a Bucoo Herm that he throws small whopper ploppers, squarebills, and wacky senkos on. So, although the Falcon bucoo is always a good suggestion in this price range, I’m going to pass on that one this time.
  10. Not saying these are the best, but they are what I have and would throw 12” worms on. They work for me. 1. Dobyns Champion DX746 2. Dobyns Sierra 766flip 3. falcon bucoo 7’3” heavy fast “amistad” 4. St Croix Bass X 7’4” heavy fast
  11. No pictures yet but my sons 13th bday is coming up in September. So as a gift, I already had a new Daiwa Fuego CT so I ordered him a tatula elite long cast spool and Hedgehog studio ZR spool bearings for It. Will put 12lb mono on It and get him a Dobyns Fury 733c or 734c. Should be a nice senko, small swimbait, spinnerbait setup for him.
  12. What will you be fishing with It?
  13. If It wasn't for the competition of tournaments I probably wouldn’t bass fish. I fish organized tournaments at minimum once a month and my buddies and I (usually 5-10 people) do throw together tournaments often. Example, group text goes out saying 6-2 on lake x this Saturday, 5 fish, $50, $10 bb.
  14. You’re literally talking out your azz. Yes, those two combos will do everything he and his boys want. Then you come in out of no where telling this man how old his kids are and talking about a 5’ combo that no one even mentioned. When asked, you say a 5’ panfish combo is for kids. completely separate from this thread, I let you know that that is crap. There’s all kinds of 5’ combos that aren’t kid combos. Then you go back to the original topic lol. Yes, we’re in agreement. The combos he mentioned will be perfect for him. But if you want to bring up weird crap that no one is talking about, then I’ll respond to that too.
  15. I’m an adult and use a 5’ UL for panfish. Crappie and sand bass specifically. More fun that way.
  16. Was this part just a side note observation or was there a reason in telling him this?
  17. 10lb on the spinning, braid to fc. 15-20lb fc on the bc. That’s for my waters anyway.
  18. This sounds good. I know I said heavy and this rod is MH, but the specs fit a frog rod.
  19. Let’s go out at night together with his setup. You fish weightless lizard. I’ll fish 1/2oz tungsten and the same lizard. We will see who feels more bites. Good luck.
  20. 7’3” heavy for me.
  21. I could literally fish with only those two setups you mentioned for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy.
  22. Lot more there than on a senko.
