  1. I know what zero adjust is. I have multiple reels with It. Thank you though.
  2. That sounds like me actually. More directed casting, 20 yards or so. I have bomb casted Chatterbaits before because I found them feeding up on a flat but that was dumb luck. So this was probably the right move. I noticed this one doesn’t have the zero adjust knob like the website shows so It must be an older model. I was told It was purchased about 4 months ago and barely used (I know the guy and trust him). So who knows ?‍♂️
  3. Well I guess scrap everything I posted lmao. I showed up to sell the Revo to a guy for $150 and he had a like new Tatula SV TW 103H in 6.3 he offered so we traded straight up. I still want a 150 but we will see how this one works.
  4. Yes definitely. I have 20 setups and only two are not Daiwa. 1. Suped up Abu 5600 for swimbaits 2. Lews Tournament Pro on a St Croix Bass X- a back up for heavy worm presentations. I will be selling the Lews before long to consolidate further to Daiwa.
  5. I’m only 37 next month but I’ve been fishing 30 years. Only thing I wish I had done was get into bass fishing sooner. Although when I got into It a few years ago, It was probably the right time since bass fishing can be expensive. Grew up fishing for mostly catfish. Never needed more than 3 or 4 round reel setups and a cast net.
  6. At this rate I would just never buy name brand baits.
  7. Digitaka takes 6-7 days to get here. I’m in no hurry but I can have a 150 faster than that. 150 seems to be more robust, higher line capacity, and less expensive. I’m sold.
  8. I have a 5.5 150 on a deep crank setup and really like It as well.
  9. They are not my thing. Was just an option. I think I’m going with the 150.
  10. From Daiwa: The TATULA 150 T-WING Baitcasting Series is designed for specific bass fishing tasks like deep cranking, punching or flipping, pulling chatter baits or swimbaits, and frogging. Sounds like the reel for me.
  11. I like the way you think.
  12. I will say the new JDM HD is not what I would consider a big swimbait reel at all. Can’t speak to the US model. Agree on a round reel. I’m have an Ambassadeur built up at the moment that is going to be freaking awesome. With all the upgrades though it’s costing me more than I meant to spend though lol. Another option is the Lexa HD.
  13. Power Pro has the super slick 8 (8 carrier not 4) which I like better than 832 for certain situations. 832 is not as slick and I use It for my frog and punching setups so It saws through grass better. Kind of a Ford vs Chevy argument. Bottom line OP, it’s good line.
  14. I’d say 95% of the time I use a roboworm it’s in Aaron’s morning Dawn color. Yes I made that statistic up.
  15. Ok I got you. I knew that about aluminum vs brass when It comes to US vs JDM. Just didn’t know It was called a G. The person is on this forum and must be mistaken on which one he got. I really like the HD and just spooled It up with 20lb sniper for my big plastics setup. Another HD is definitely an option, however, even at JDM pricing it’s a little higher price than I think I’m looking to spend at the moment. I sold a Revo for $150 last night in my attempt to consolidate to all Daiwa (hence why there was an open rod to put that limited in the picture above on). So I have $150 to spend and would be willing to go a little more. Here’s what I’m looking at so far: JDM 20 TATULA SV TW 103H $164 JDM 19 TATULA TW 100H $124 JDM 20 ZILLION SV TW 1000 $242 US Tatula CT $112 (would upgrade spool and bearings on this one) US Tatula 200 $139 US Tatula 150 $139 US Tatula 100 $139 All models are 6.3:1 gear ratio.
  16. I just puked. jk This is me as well. Have a 12 year old that’s my tourney partner. All he wants to do is play baseball and fish.
  17. Had this Tatula SV Limited on my Chatterbait rod but thought It would be better served on senko/light t-rig rod so I swapped It out and changed line. So now I’m looking for a Chatterbait reel. Something in 6.3 gear ratio. Do I go CT and upgrade to Elite Long Cast spool and new bearings? Would I really benefit from the SV? Is there a JDM zillion model I should look at? Someone said they got a JDM Zillion G for $217 recently. I don’t know what the G is though. This will be on a Mojo Bass MHMF rod with 50lb braid. What say you?
  18. I saw the Zillion HD I ordered for $303 on digitaka on Amazon Japan for like $275 ?
  19. Had a Lew’s hyper mag on this rod. This pairing is much better.
  20. Yeah I use 795 but 3 oz on a 796 would be fine. Those champions are light and thin.
  21. 795 or 796. Can’t go wrong with either.
  22. It was a limited run of 1500 straight from Reaction Innovations the other day. Sold out same day. My buddy’s order got refunded. They got more orders than they could fill.
  23. I use Dobyns 795SB
