  1. So does a twist lock weighted hook. Or a small worm weight.
  2. Thanks. I’m thinking about selling my Vexus and getting one of these. Not a lot of lunds down south. I’m thinking the riveted hull could allow some flex that a welded hull won’t. FYI my ‘21 Vexus cracked and getting the hull replaced to a 2023 this month.
  3. Great looking boat. Are those riveted or welded?
  4. What is the point of the barrel swivel? I’ve never heard of that until I got on this forum and have seen It a lot. I don’t want extra stuff on my line. I know the typical answer is line twist. That seems like a solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist. What does everyone I know do differently here to not need them that y’all are doing to need them? 3 different knots to fail. I don’t even use them on Carolina rig.
  5. I’ve never seen a lost and found bin at the lake so I say yes.
  6. Expensive
  7. Pics to come but in the past few days I’ve ordered 3 siebert fogys, a bunch of siebert tungsten, a Tat Elite Brent Ehrler 7’1” MMH-XF rod with AGS guides, a Daiwa Rebellion 7’3” MH-F rod, and a Tat Elite Randy Howell M-XF spinning rod. Pretty excited about It all. Want to see how the Fogys compare to jackhammers. Big savings there if they are good. The two casting rods will replace a Falcon Lowrider (big step up in quality) and a Megabass Destroyer, which was super nice but I didn’t like It. The Tatula spinning rod will be my first nicer quality spinning rod. Currently using an academy H2O or an AirdX for spinning. Need help on a reel to pair It with though. Original plan was to get the Tatula spinning reel from digitaka but I don’t like that it’s made in China.
  8. I’m doing a road trip in November. Hauling the boat and hitting famous lakes including the Harris Chain. I will keep this in mind when I get there if you’re still looking for a partner for a day.
  9. I don’t use the expensive stuff (invisx or sniper) for cranking. I use that for worms. If I use fluoro it’s red label. I also use big game. 12lb.
  10. There was a “non working man” tournament on a local lake here on a Thursday morning a few months ago. 6-11am. My friend and I had the day off and just KNEW we could go win that thing. All the hammers would be working right? How could a bunch of old retired guys beat us? Wow, we got smoked. Dead last and It wasn’t close. Apparently when you’re retired you get to fish a lot more than we do lmao. Also pretty sure that group of old men put that tourney on to hustle people just like us! Lol
  11. I’ve spent a lot of time on the navionics app and Google earth.
  12. Let’s not lump crappy ponds you fish in with all “public waters”. I fish huge lakes and have no problem eating fish from them. And although I don’t specifically target bass to keep, if one isn’t going to make It I don’t shed a tear. I throw It in the livewell or cooler with any sand bass or crappie I happen to catch and fry It up. If you think bass is gross then you either just don’t like fish period or you don’t know how to cook. Man. There’s a lot of “I’m better than you” in this thread. You mean the contests that got bass fishing where It is today? Made my mouth water
  13. I do use my shirt to wipe the lenses. Mine are glass. Takes a lot to scratch them.
  14. What should I set It at for 15 and 20lb fc?
  15. I don’t have a scale to properly set drag.
  16. Placed an $85 siebert order but nothing I ordered was on sale ?
  17. If you don’t like those send them my way. They look sweet.
  18. The fit well part was my problem. I stripped the head.
  19. I actually did not! I had to put the knobs on another, different geared 150 I had, then swap handles. That dude is in there forever lol
  20. Last one tonight. Since I’m putting that Elite on the c-rig rod, I moved the Tat 200 that was on that rod onto my punch/frog setup. Falcon Amistad, 65lb braid.
  21. Supposed to say sometimes* paddletails. Lol I have other setups that are better for swim jigs. This would predominantly be for weightless senkos and like 1/4 oz t-rigs (plus weight of hook and worm.
