My grandpa used to fry soft shell turtle with the catfish when he caught them on his trot lines. As far as I remember there were no complaints on taste.
I wouldn’t even know how to clean one.
Been tying improved clinch on almost every fishing knot I tie for 30 years. From 6lb test to 50lb mono. Braid, FC. Doesn’t matter. Caught sunfish to 100+lb sharks and everything between. I always wet, cinch, and tighten down like Phish described.
