I did the swivel thing on the one pictured because I was out of keepers but that’s the first time I’ve ever fished a c-rig that way. I fish It with the pictured tungsten cylinder weight, two Carolina keepers, and hook. Can adjust length of leader on the fly, one knot.
Maybe we’re talking about the same thing?
Tough day out there but I’m in the lead by 2oz. Supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow. Hope for a better bite.
Hard to get good pictures as this is a catch weigh release tournament and I was by myself (just buddies from work so we trust each other). Here’s the two highlights.
4lb 7oz big fish for the day and a smallmouth.
Tourney started at 8am and I caught that big one at 807. Lol
hmmm, It says right up there that I also have Texas rig tied on. That’s for my worms. Also says I have jigs ready. Three types actually. Swim jig with paddle tail swimbait trailer, 3/8 finesse jig with craw trailer, 1/2 pitching jig with sweet beaver trailer. ??♂️
Fluke is a swimbait too right?
Chris
I wouldn’t buy one specifically for this purpose but if you already have one (sounds like you do on your boat) It sounds pretty cool. If anything just to get more time behind It to learn more.
A buddy of mine has two boats so he bought a plastic craftsman tool box and made a completely mobile Livescope setup. Gimble mount for the graph on top, ram ball for his pvc ducer pole, etc. It’s pretty legit. He just sets the whole thing on the deck.
crappie guy mostly though
Sorry MN, just looked this up and it’s a redbud. To be fair I know this wasn’t the best close up picture for ID purposes.
We have this redbud on one side and a large crepe myrtle on the other. Redbud always flowers well before the crepe every year.
We caught 5 that day between 35 and 50 pounds on super glass like conditions. It was incredible. It was so calm that we had to use the trolling motor to drift.
The biggest that day. Right at 50:
