  1. I’ve heard there are bass here in Alabama but I think @AlabamaSpothunter smuggled them all to his secret lake ? ? Seriously though, Guntersville and Neely Henry are two lakes I’d love to live beside for fishing if they weren’t so far apart.
  2. Same here! Retired this past March and been fishing ever since! ? Congrats!
  3. Welcome! You’ll find tons of info here as well as get to know a bunch of super friendly people!
  4. Done!
  5. Fixed it so it just takes you to Imgur now ? So THAT’S where all the fish went! ?? Thanks Alex! Appreciate it and I’ll keep the location secret too. ?
  6. I’ve got his Fogy package kit and so far no rust at all
  7. Made a run up there yesterday to the dam and found out from the deputy that they don’t allow bank fishing around the dam. Bummed me out but I headed over to Boat Landing Road (the other boat ramp) and was stunned to see how much lower the water was. They had the boat ramp blocked as the water was too low to safely launch now. I tried fishing for little over an hour but no joy so packed up and headed home. —- https://imgur.com/UouafIv
  8. What’s cash? Since I’ve retired I’ve forgotten what that is ?
  9. Will you be offering a Fogy Pro package kit?
  10. This is why I can never go deep sea fishing. I tend to chum the water more than wet a line. ? Nothing works for me to prevent it either.
  11. My wife and I met him once in the checkout line at the Walmart in Leeds, AL. Huge fella and one of the nicest people you’d ever want to meet. He was there getting something for his mom who lives in Leeds as well. He was sweating due to the summer heat and we struck up a short conversation about how hot it was, how it would be nice if the humidity would drop, etc. I’m 6’1” and next to him I felt like 5’5”. ?
  12. Man, all these names bring back some fond memories. Except the country ones. And the rap ones. ? Think I’ll do some fishing listening to A7X, 5FDP, Metallica, etc today.
  13. Maybe this is why I still prefer my spinning rods at times over my baitcasters ? Got too many birds living in their prefab homes!
  14. Sure thing! Having worked in support and abuse for a few web hosting companies errors similar to that were fairly common. ? Back to regularly scheduled programming now.
  15. Hey @Glenn, site/forums showed an error about 10 minutes ago. Obviously it’s back now but thought you might want to know. Both the main site and forums had the same error. Apache logs should probably list it.?
  16. The way my balance is these days I’d wind up in the water more than in the kayak ? Agreed! Same here lately.
  17. No kidding!
  18. Uhm, War Eagle? ?
  19. Yeah, being in the military does mean a different process than what ‘civvies’ go through. Last thing they’ll want to do is surgery unless there’s no other alternative. Messed up my left sacroiliac in AIT a bazillion years ago and was told that PT would be the best course of treatment with surgery a last resort. It got better but still bugs me occasionally even now. But, this was back in the 80s and medicine has advanced leaps and bounds since then. No more burning incense and chanting. ?
  20. Hi Demitri! Welcome to BR!
  21. Wow! That’s one nice fish!
  22. Right?! Even when I worked in support and abuse (stories for another time ? ) customers were nuts sometimes. Best therapy there is!
  23. I suppose if the property owner asked nicely I’d be nice and leave. However, if they acted like the ‘Karen’ in the OP’s video I can’t promise my reaction would be polite. My tolerance for stupid self-entitled people is seriously diminished after years of working in customer service for various web hosting companies. ?
  24. @AlabamaSpothunter I did and got skunked. ☹️ Went low then high and ended with a whopper plopper to see if the wind-stirred surface would edge my chances. No joy. Couldn’t ask for better weather or temps but the Skunk Monster got me anyway. That one bass still hasn’t returned that Ned-hook he swiped. ? Glad you got your plopper back!
  25. I suspect the pond is spiked ?
