Definitely agree! I fish spillways a-lot and I always watch how high or low the water is. It always has cover (rocks) and I also go down the shore line and cut down some smaller trees to create cover. I very rarely get skunked by having those changing water depth and cover. I am one of those that will throw everything in the tacklebox at them I’ll admit haha but a few techniques that always work for me in that area are jerkbaits, chatter baits, 1/2 jigs, u heads with a fineke worm, and the good ole Texas rig.
