6’0” tfo ul w/ 1000 daiwa legalis (m Trout rod)
no boat, I like to pack light, strap on my fishing backpack and explore
I was pretty set on ordering a daiwa tatula xt spinning rod but came across some YouTube vids that they have micro guides on the top section. Is that a problem for using Fluoro to braid with the knot going through them or am I gonna have to run straight Fluoro?
I’m looking at the 7’ med tatula cork spinning rod. It’s rated at 1/8-3/4oz. Where’s the sweet spot in this rod? What techniques is it good for? is it a stiff rod? I throw a little bit of everything ina lighter range of about 3/16 to 1/2 oz
Thanks for the input everyone. This will be my stream/smaller pond rod so the 1000 sized reel is fine. I have bad wrists/ elbow so balance is important for me.
I have a Sahara 1000 and it pairs ok with an older 6’ quantum rod that I toss a lot of 1/8 oz metal on. Would this reel be ok for a 6’6” light premier or would a 2500 size be better?
I just got it a few days ago and it’s been freezing cold here so haven’t had a chance to use it but it’s super light, I love the action of it and I know it’s gonna be perfect for me (I’m a light finesse type fisherman). After I get a reel, I’d like to get a heavier 7’er. ??
Ideally was looking about 120 and under but maybe coulda stretched to the ultegra if it got that much love. It’s hard when I can’t try them in hand first and I only have one shot since I’m broke
I just got a 6’6” dobyns fury and was looking at either a daiwa bg 2500 or shimano ultegra 3000. No one around has much of anything in stock so I’ll have to order one sight unseen, so with the bg weighing a bit more, which would balance better with my rod?
