  1. Depends on how your fishing them if I want to swim them, it’s almost always marabou and a 1/32 or 1/16 oz bottom dragging it’s buck or craft hair in 1/8 and 1/4 i prefer both in black keeps it simple yet highly effective
  2. As soon as Ice comes off, usually around St Patty’s day and always on a hair jig
  3. ?
  4. Not my first of 2023 but my first event fish of 2023. Good enough for the W.
  5. Interesting and informative I will definitely have to try this I’ve been layering all along
  6. My Falcon Cara Amistad 7’3” Heavy with a Shimano SLX #15 flouro Homemade 1/2oz jig Anytime, Any place, Anywhere it just keeps the big ones honest
  7. #15 flouro when I can get away with power fishing them, which is more often than not. But spinning has its rightful place if you fish for smallies regularly
  8. They are definitely more aggressive and easier to catch early in the season, especially when the water temps touch 50. but I’ve caught them from 35 degree water to 80 degree water best time to fish for them is when you can
  9. 3 cups dark roast……black…….every morning just to get the wheels turning 1-2 during the day to prevent the wheels from coming off the rails
  10. Pre and post here 2 baits. A jig and a shaky head i hate sight fishing and post spawn can be very productive if you find the right places
  11. Being in Southern Ny and a stones throw from CT, I fish for both with equal enthusiasm…..a bass is a bass. Now when I absolutely need to catch one, largemouth……the green ones are easy
  12. Most bass clubs are low money derby’s and are a great way to get your feet wet. Being a co would definitely help you along with finding and catching fish, with every boater doing something a little different. Eventually you’ll definitely want to use your own boat
  13. Buying a ton of new stuff is never the answer what are your primary baits that you feel confident with? And more importantly you need to focus on areas that lend themselves to be productive big fish holding spots Don’t beat yourself up over it, that will never do you any good. confidence in your abilities is key…. knowing that if you find them, you can get them to bite. If you fish the northeast I’m sure I could be of some help D~
  14. Wish I would have seen this sooner
  15. It’s the only think that gets me through the work week!
  16. Another great color pattern This whole jig making thing is addicting!
  17. I night fish because they chew. Work is the only thing that keeps me from doing it more often
  18. So sorry for your loss Please accept my condolences
  19. Spot on Mike
  20. The fish agree this one is a winner
  21. you’re also keeping your bait in the strike zone longer, once you’ve established their preferred depth paralleling the bank works great from the shore too especially at night ?
  22. Another post spawn Ct green head This time during an event on a usually stingy Lake Zoar #5.55
