  1. I personally use shrink wrap tubing on my wacky setup. Get some tubing, cut off a 1/4 piece. If too small stretch with snips till desired size. Slide over senko till you are comfortable it's centered. Use favorite hook and enjoy
  2. You're in luck! The tip guide is the easiest fix! Heat up with a lighter or some other heating device. It'll get malleable enough to move and get in line with the rest of the guides. Let it sit for a bit to settle. Hope thirds helps!
  3. Get the legend glass. You won't be disappointed. I have the 7'2 MedMod and love it!
  4. I've been at it pretty hard getting jig heads and drop shot sinkers made for next year! Got most poured, just gotta paint. Also need another mold for more variety. This May have become a sickness...but man it's fun!
  5. Braid: Palomar FC & mono: improved clinch Leaders: blood knot Spool: Arbor
  6. During the winter I've decided to pour my own jigs and drop spot weights in bulk so i don't have to worry about it next year; In fact I've already started since Utah gets cold fast. Obviously gonna clean my rods and reels and get everything respooled for next season. Also...i play video games. The new metroid was amazing!
  7. I personally use a ML and i use braid to leader. I tried straight fluro and mono, i just don't get the sensitivity i like. Play around and figure out what works best for you, but my vote notes to the braid to leader on the bass x
  8. I had the same issue with my 1/16 head mold. What i found that helps is to grab the lead head with pliers and grab the sprue with another pair and wiggle it off then. I've had no issues since i stopped touching the actual wire keeper or hook.
  9. Most of my casting reels are the slx or variant of. I do own a few different casting reels, but they're easier to afford without sacrificing their quality. My workhorse is my 6:3:1 slx xt in my st croix legend glass.
  10. Don't hesitate on looking at the legend line. I myself own about 8 st croix rods. I've Got two legend tournaments one fast action one extra fast action, both spinning for my finesse approaches. I absolutely love my fast action Ned rig rod and have only caught 3 or so fish on my other as my season in northern Utah about over. I couldn't recommend the rods enough. I know you'd get a medium for your casting reel, but you'd notice the difference right away between the scIII and the SCIV as well as the FRS when you load it up.When i first picked up a legend rod i felt like i would snap it (i haven't and I've gotten huge carp and cats on it) on the first big fish. My glass rod took my cranking game to a whole other level this year in terms of hook ups, but it's more suited for treble hooked baits like square bills and such. Not great for your under spins and swim jigs. I can only recommend up to the legend tournament line as i don't own the X, extreme or elite. Also...i feel the pain of having the avid x break. I broke my MHM this year and they don't make that model anymore. They gave me a victory instead and I'm still not sure how i feel about it.
  11. I own the 7'2" MM legend glass. Bought it earlier this year before ice off, loved the way it felt in hand with my newly purchased slx xt. I broke it in with walleye on a river and it was as sensitive as you'd expect st croix. Used it all season for bass with various cranks within the weight specs listed on the rod. It really upped my game when cranking and the extra length was unexpectedly appreciated when you find that fish following your bait and can give it that extra bump to get that last second bite. I had my reel spooled up with 12 lb invizx 90% of the year, i have since switched to sniper fc14 lb. I mainly used 1.5 - 2.5 size baits for this rod and it just gets the job done. You really won't regret it in my opinion.
  12. I have 4 finesse poles i use for Ned rigs. 1- st croix triumph 6'6 light fast action with 6 lb invizx on my 1000 size legalis for my lighter neds. 2-st croix legend tournament 6'8 med lite fast action with a 1000 size static ci4+ 10 lb smackdown with 6 lb fc sniper leader 3- st croix legend tournament 6'10 med lite ex fast. It Will be equipped with a vanford 2500 (it'll be here Wednesday) that'll have 15 lb smackdown and 8 lb fc sniper leader 4-st croix avid 7' med lite 2 piece fast action with a 2500 legalis with 10 lb sunline and 6 lb fc sniper leader. This is my travel rod i keep in my truck
