  1. So it’s interesting you say that because I actually had the same Issue. Tip was so soft it was hard to set hook or keep fish pinned. I snapped off 2 inches, fixed it, and it actually keeps them pinned better. I got an orichi xx coming in now since I broke it. I think it’s supposed to be a little more crisp than the levante. Was yours the levante? I plan to use it to throw 1/16-1/8 kastmaster/phoebe spoons off bank for trout and possibly fish power bait on a slip sinker as well. Don’t plan to go down that low in weight.
  2. I already own a Megabass Whipsnake I use for finesse bass fishing but was wondering if it could double as a trout rod in the fall? My local lake stocks trout in fall and would be great not to have to buy another rod.
  3. Opinions on orichi xx perfect pitch vs levante perfect pitch? Is it work the extra to step up to orichi xx? Will be used primarily for flipping 1/2-3/4 jigs+ trailer heavier t rigs, and light frogging/6 inch magdrafts.
  4. I’m not sure if they definitely will but a lot of online stores do discounts for Black Friday so hoping to score one!
  5. I think biggest negative to having a rod built is no resale value. At least with a name brand you know you can sell often for close to what you bought for if you maintain high end equipment. Pick on up on sale and sometimes you can sell for what you paid if you decide you don’t like it.
  6. Stella is definitely pricey! But I do appreciate that input. I’m not in a rush so will probably wait for a Black Friday sale or get used. If they make a 2000 size like they do with the vanford, I could get that to save on weight so it won’t be heavy compared to what I have now.
  7. Thanks! I actually already have a vanford 2500, Stradic ci 4+ 3000, and a Stradic FL 3000. Love all these reels. Just wanted to try a step up or two and see what I get.
  8. Which reel do you guys think is a better value? Looking to use for finesse tactics. They close in price point. I’ve heard mixed opinions from people I know so wanted to see what people on here think. Thanks for any input!
  9. I previously owned a Flyssa. It was my favorite spinning reel I have ever owned. Took me almost a year to find and I let my brother use for a few casts and he broke on a rock somehow. Please let me know if you have any leads on a Flyssa. I am willing to pay up to $400-500 + a $50 finders fee if you send me to someone who has one for sale. Text me with what you have! 757-504-6047
