This is not something should feel about this way.. be proud about the personal growth that saved your life
thanks for sharing.
I just found out that the original post is more than a decade old.
I used to pay for it when it was $29.. It stop making sense to me when I figured they always have limited stock and ended up using TW all of the time anyway.
I didn't feel that pro was worth $50, not even with the app.
1/2oz jigs are not problem. Now I use this in mostly natural lakes with not super heavy cover and does amazing. Its very sensitive and crisp but at the same time being lower power than a standard MH it gives it a nice bend. Not to mention that is super light and conformable. I have it pair with a Daiwa Zillion (yes I mixed all Shimano rods with daiwa reels) and its really nicely balanced. I think this is the perfect rod for this application.
I use the Poison Adrena M+ 6'11"
I does not meet your length requirements but its amazing with those Keitech Jigs and very precise casts.
You can still find the previous gen on sale as its being discontinued, that will make it under the your $300 price point.
Not really... only when its windy. That does not mean its a bad reel, they are actually really good and if you buy it will work great. I use mine to bomb chatterbaits and it does the job 0 complains
Forgot, I would personally buy over a Bantam
XX really need an upgrade, at the very least a weight reduction. However they are not worth (for me at least) $399 there are some better options at that price.
I felt like $300 was an "ok" price point. This rods to me compete with Exprides and they are much newer, lighter and cheaper.
Hopefully they release a newer version and keep the $300 price tag.
I bought polycarbonate for safety reasons, they are supposed to be lighter than glass, but the frames themself are very heavy.. I use Oakley now much much lighter, the frames feel cheaper but they are extremely lightweight.
Many of Mexico's artificial lakes the area was left as it was before they build the dam. You will find trees as they don't usually cut them like its done in the US (there are lakes were you can see orchards of large trees still line up underwater) houses, churches and other human made structure.
So it wont hurt you to use the stronger line.
